Shaun Williams vs. Sammy Knight (1 Viewer)

I was pretty comfortable with Knight until I checked his numbers last year against Cincinatti ( 3-1 and an int. w/o Palmer playing) so I started looking and came accross Williams, who I had forgotten about over the years due to injuries.

Williams has a lot of talent, he's starting SS for Carolina and plays Atlanta, a run first offense this week... all of which sound very appealing. Your thoughts?

BTW Harper NO is also available, I feel I should Pick up one of the two for Knight who has Pollard waiting in the wings.

Thanks

I like Williams, he should be solid. I think Harper could be elite this year - a SS on a terrible D.

I'd go Harper for the upside.

Don't put too much stock in one matchup. The Bengals more or less tanked that game last season. The offense wasn't on the field much and they were behind the whole game -- not the best scenario for a SS. Tomorrow should be different.I understand the concerns about Pollard taking over Knight's job, but we're not there yet. Williams is an interesting pickup as well. But I think I agree with stevegamer, Harper, if he hits, could be Gibril Wilson-like this season. Knight and Williams are decent players but neither have huge upside and can probably be recycled all season long. This may be a situation where you take the risk with Harper and if he looks meh over the first couple of weeks you dump him and try again. Guys like Williams will almost always be available to you every week and there's always a player nobody expected available after a game or two as well. Most of us think that could be Harper. ;)
