Should I trade for Allen... (1 Viewer)

I am currently in first place and want to shore up my team for the last half of the season and into the playoffs. Long time league, 1 man keeper (J Taylor for me this year).

My team as constructed (this is a start 2 RB's, 2 WR's and 2 Flex Spots). The guys in bold are my every week starters then I pick between Olave and Smith. Might move Breece into that flex spot soon tho.

QB: Dan Jones
RB1: J Taylor
RB2: Gibbs
RB3: Quinshon Judkins
RB4: Breece Hall
WR1: Emeka
WR2: Odunze

WR3: Olave
WR4: Devonta Smith
TE: Trey McBride
K: whoever..

I feel pretty good about my starting lineup with exception to QB. I just can't get confortable with Jones as my QB1 heading into the latter part of the season (Caleb is my QB2).

Inquired about Josh Allen and his response was Daniel Jones and Emeka for Allen. Would you do this?

What would be Emeka's cost as a keeper next year? You ok missing out on that value? Which other QBs are on the waiver wire? Allen is so good, but you're already thin at WR.

is Taylor your keeper for next year? What is the cost of the keeper (round lost)?

I don't mind the offer necessarily but Jones has been great and it doesn't look like that will slow down. Egbuka would leave you with a big hole in the starting lineup.

I am leaning no as I don't think it improves your team overall.

I don't love Odunze direction right now enough to fill in for emeka.. Olave/Smith will be boom/bust

As fun as allen is- i would stay put

I wouldn't. I have Jones in a league and I get not being comfortable with it. I'm definitely not. Caleb Williams is really volatile but by and large he should be a good replacement if you ever need that. Waivers might be kinda slim but if you get desperate you can always go digging on waivers to stream QBs week by week if something crazy happens. Getting Allen would be great but not giving up Egbuka. That's not worth it.

I wouldn't unless you're willing to risk giving up multiple players and pray none of your players get injured. The drop off from Allen to Jones isn't as great when you compare an injury to one of your starter and the best fill in was traded away and now your next fill in is much lower. Strong depth plus postseason you never know when a potential player is sat.
EDIT: If you really don't like Jones, I'd try and trade for Lamar or Mahomes which you may not have to give up as much.
If you could look at mine I'd highly appreciate it.
