Should I Veto (1 Viewer)

So I am in a 4 horse race for first place in a 12 team league. The top four teams are seperated by 4 points (standard 5x5 roto).

So my last two trades have been vetoed by 3 people (go figure...the 3 people I am in a battle with for first place).

The trades that were vetoed -

I give Helton, G Matthews, Delmon Young....I get Konerko and Vlad.

I give Chris Ray, Bobby Abreu and Scott Kazmir....I get Francisco Rodriguez, Vernon Wells

Now, one of the clown that continually vetoes any moves I try to make has a proposed trade of -

Marlon Byrd and Al Reyes

for

Andruw Jones and Bobby Jenks

Now even though this is a ridiculously unfair trade (this is a redraft so no salaries are involved), I wouldn't veto because if someone wants to cheat to win it is their choice and we are not talking about a lot of money. If you need to cheat to win a league worth around $200 you have bigger issues.

However, I might veto just to spite these idiots.

What say you? So far I have not vetoed - but if I want to I have until tomorrow.

First off, $200 is a lot of money to some of us . Second, although I don't think your offers were insane by any means, I do think that you were getting the better end of the deal in both cases. I think your 2nd offer is a little closer. In the first trade you are getting the best 2 players in the deal and I'm assuming the other guy would have to drop one of the 3 players that you're sending. In the 2nd offer, you're getting a stud closer and an underachieving OF for a mediocre closer, an underachieving OF and an underachieving pitcher. Like the first offer, you are getting the best player in the deal. Now the offer that the "clown" made is obviously ridiculous and should be vetoed immediately. Whether you do it out of spite or because it's ethical is up to you.........

I would veto the trade immediately,

that being said, why not institute a rule that any objection to trade MUST be accompanied by a stated reason why; and the only acceptable reason why is that you suspect collusion. This is keeper league so it is A) harder IMHO to get truly lopsided deals B) most of the deals are I am giving you someone to help you this year and you are giving me prospects type of deal. Vetoing a trade just because it hurts your team is Nonsense IMHO.
