Bring on the criticism.  Like I said, for some of these bands I don’t know a lot about them. So if you have something particular to recommend please do.
Sure. As far as Best Coast goes, I'd say listen to the Crazy For You album, which is really good. I think it's also their apex. It's a really good mood/sunset summer album. If you like dream pop/girl group sounds, it's a good way to go.

My favorites off of it are Boyfriend and Summer Mood. If pressed, I'd go with Summer Mood.

It's 1:00 AM and I'm on my way to drunk.  Time for some funk!

879. Graham Central Station - The Jam
GSC wasn't as good as prime Family Stone (few are), but Larry carried the flag proudly. "The Jam" was basically a rewrite of "Dance To The Music" with more fuzz tone and, given that the band leader played bass, much heavier.

Graham had a run of good albums in the mid-to-late '70s, with some downright weird songs (a couple were straight country with Larry yodeling, and he wasn't being ironic) before he made his play for pop with stuff like "One In A Million".

His best song with GCS, though, was the aptly named "Earthquake". It takes about a minute to get going, but when it does it will wreck the bottom of your speakers. It should have been a huge AOR hit, but wasn't for reasons (skin pigmentation). Instead, we got the 8th tired Bad Company song off of their latest album.

Ok, K @krista4

I have decided - since you so graciously agreed to post a public boogie vid of yous (via PM) - that this is the song you will be groovin to.

So - get the cameera rollin' - ACTSHUN!

Well I suppose I can deny it no longer.

You should try your best.
To keep your funkyness.
So next time won't catch you.
You'll catch someone else too.

You can have my best.
You and MoCS
Nothing less will do.
You can have some funk too.

(Repeat Approx. 12 times on the Fade:)

Pow.

2 weeks - ya gots 2 weeks - make it happens!

861. Donnie Iris - Ah Leah
Holy hell - I did not recognize this song title or band name at all - but have had some really great times to this tune. 🙂

860. Pilot - Magic
Like this too, but was hopin' for this: Magic

Band names seem ta be bad for me at the moment - shoulda known this wasn't the special.

859. Killing Joke - Eighties
It came as it was...

Nice run.

The video - oh my.

Clicking on all the links in this and the tim thread has made my YouTube suggested videos go wacky.  For quite a while at the top were "Lies the Motley Crue Movie Told You" and "The Truth Behind Harmony Korine" (I can't stand Harmony Korine).  Now it's some guy with no arms playing guitar with his feet.
I keep trying to break their algorithm matrix by hitting as many different types of videos as possible. So far it has not quite worked.
