Another good one...353. Loose Fur - The Ruling Class
Loose Fur is an American rock band comprising Wilco members Jeff Tweedy and Glenn Kotche, and Wilco collaborator Jim O'Rourke.
aka "Don't Cut Off My Hammer Before You Bury Me"Cowbell never gets its proper due...
New - and I like - nice folk.
Also, I found a WNKU published live video.
"Bury Me With My Hammer" - Young Heirlooms live in studio89!
They have the chops for good live listening, imo.
HEY DID YOU GUYS KNOW THAT CREED FROM THE OFFICE WAS IN THE GRASS ROOTS?
Oh come on. I can see “Smile Like You Mean it” if you want to get all hipster but we all know the Killers song.
Aaaand of course, who do I hear on KLOS at lunch today? Duffy and Astbury talking about some "dad rock" show the Cult is a part of at The Greek. This is a good song. I have always enjoyed it. I probably like The Cult more than I realized if I think on it....Danny Duffy is awesome....but I've just never been able to take them very seriously when I see crap like Ian Astbury dressed like a cross between Vampire Hunter D and a pirate doing some kind of psuedo-ASL while air humping a stage.
And then you go and poop on everything.
awesomeness ...these guys put out some damn fine radio hits in the late 60s and early 70s. Also ...what other group can claim Creed Bratton as a member?
Wow I haven't heard these in forever.awesomeness ...these guys put out some damn fine radio hits in the late 60s and early 70s. Also ...what other group can claim Creed Bratton as a member?
Just a couple ...

Wait A Million Years
Whenever I drive through SoCal I always give KLOS a try and the I get depressed and flip over to KROQ.Aaaand of course, who do I hear on KLOS at lunch today? Duffy and Astbury talking about some "dad rock" show the Cult is a part of at The Greek.
I pretended he was wearing his floppy pirate vampire hat in the studio, even though he probably wasn't.

Less than 2 hours from LA “proper”. Probably end up somewhere in the general area every other month. So, you live out west?
Or just like driving a lof?
Either one is kinda interesting...
This is a regular in my "chillin' by the pond in the back yard drinking a few too many beers in the middle of the week" playlist. Heard it a couple of minutes ago.shuke said:

That is sweet! Really.fun fact: back in the mid-late 70s my older brother figured out a way to hook up his bedroom stereo to the 12 foot high tv antenna mounted on out roof. If he manipulated everything just right he could pull in KLOS on most nights. And this was back when KLOS was rather “cutting edge”.
The pond would be good for you.
not for some people.
Stop being koiNaw, it's just a little garden pond with goldfish and such. It's relaxing though.
Oooh - I like this. I saw Jack live with Ben Harper in Louisville in 2001 - right after Derby Week - a gift from my friend Heidi - the one I asked you about at UC.

What asylum let ya out?Released: 1985
New - really like it.
If you're going to be derivative, why not copy the best. I love both World Party and Oasis because they're practically the Beatles. Oasis can really write a good song.shuke said:
