This is a good song.  I have always enjoyed it.  I probably like The Cult more than I realized if I think on it....Danny Duffy is awesome....but I've just never been able to take them very seriously when I see crap like Ian Astbury dressed like a cross between Vampire Hunter D and a pirate doing some kind of psuedo-ASL while air humping a stage.

Aaaand of course, who do I hear on KLOS at lunch today?  Duffy and Astbury talking about some "dad rock" show the Cult is a part of at The Greek.

I pretended he was wearing his floppy pirate vampire hat in the studio, even though he probably wasn't.

Whenever I drive through SoCal I always give KLOS a try and the I get depressed and flip over to KROQ.

Less than 2 hours from LA “proper”. Probably end up somewhere in the general area every other month.

fun fact: back in the mid-late 70s my older brother figured out a way to hook up his bedroom stereo to the 12 foot high tv antenna mounted on out roof.  If he manipulated everything just right he could pull in KLOS on most nights.  And this was back when KLOS was rather “cutting edge”.

That is sweet! Really.

Here, we wrap squirrels in wire vests and give em an iron leash. 

Then, we release em and start shoot'n rounds inta the sky.

The little mf-er's get to the top branches in seconds.

As long as there's plenty of nuts, we can get Mount Pilot.
