I always flick my lights anytime I see a cop set up to trap folks for speeding. I had someone save me today near my house and I returned the favor. It really is one of the tools to damn the man.
I'm curious: what is the ticket for?MikeIke said:I do it all the time. Keep in mind, though, that another cop a bit further down the road could give you a ticket for flashing your brights unnecessarily.
I think its a state by state thing, some illegal some not. Hindering a police investigation or having your high beams on with oncoming traffic.I'm curious: what is the ticket for?
HE SAID YOU COULD GET A TICKET FOR UNNECESSARILY FLASHING YOUR BRIGHTS.I'm curious: what is the ticket for?
Many years ago, a friend of mine's father got a ticket for "obstruction of justice". Don't know if he fought it or not, just that he got a ticket. I think it was in PA.I'm curious: what is the ticket for?
Dip####, it works both ways. If everyone looks out for each other you are just as likely to avoid a ticket as someone you help out.I used to do this when I was a teenager. Like I give a f*** if some ##### gets a ticket.
Me too.Hell, sometimes I flash my lights for no reason. Have to keep these ####ers on their toes.
I just ghostride the whip into a telephone pole so the cop has to leave the speedtrap and all my fellow drivers are safe.I just shoot out one of the cops tires so nobody had to worry about him for a while
It was never a thing, just an urban legendDon't gangbangers shoot when flashed? Is that still a thing?
I mean the thugs with guns....not the sexual people shooting loads.
It varies by state and seems like it is becoming legal to do it more so now.I don't do it consistently, but I will sometimes do it to warn for cops, for deer, for an accident up ahead etc.
I never knew that you could get a ticket for flashing your highbeams. That's surprising to me. I would think that alerting people to something out of the ordinary of the head would be a good thing.
Why would I get a ticket for obeying the law? I spend way more time wishing these dooshes driving 80 mph and cutting in and out of traffic would get busted than I do wanting to help them avoid doing so.Dip####, it works both ways. If everyone looks out for each other you are just as likely to avoid a ticket as someone you help out.
"Look out! Object in road ahead!"Too many false alerts IMO

That is what I most often do, is flash lights to indicate a dangerous situation ahead. Could be a deer or an accident or some obsticle in the road. Would that be illegal too?I do do it often enough if I pass deer on the side of the road. I just use it as a universal "slow down" signal. If they think it's the cops, that's fine with me as long as they don't take the corner and smash into a deer crossing the road.
Seems like a good way to help out the police by stopping people who were thinking of speeding.Hell, sometimes I flash my lights for no reason.
Anyone else read this in Garrett Morris' voice?HE SAID YOU COULD GET A TICKET FOR UNNECESSARILY FLASHING YOUR BRIGHTS.

Wait, what did you say about the new sheriff?I only signal if the Sheriff is near.
When I was a teenager I used to speed and drive like a moron. Used to flash my lights to warn people about cops. Now I don't speed and I don't bother flashing my lights. I would really prefer if people didn't speed. Would also prefer if people didn't drive around with POS cars with bald tires while texting or playing clash of clans.Dip####, it works both ways. If everyone looks out for each other you are just as likely to avoid a ticket as someone you help out.
I'm sorry, you sound much taller on the radio.Wait, what did you say about the new sheriff?
