Make that 35. My contact pulled some serious swag out of her closet; Wamshell and a limited edition (500 run) of Ninjeeni.Daddy is going to be a super hero tonite

I got T'bak and E'Brawl last night at a Gamestop near my house for $14.99 each. I gave my son (8) eyebrawl as a reward for a very positive P-T conference with his teacher last week. He freaked out and I'm a hero again for a while. A game geek at the store was telling me a horror story about Skylanders 3. I didn't have time to hang around for all the gory details, but it sounds like those of us with kids still interested in this game will all be busting out the credit card in a big way again when it hits the stores.

 
You know, I don't mind that much if they make more video games. Obviously I will be spending more on additional characters but as long as the existing characters can be used in future games, I feel like we are getting out moneys worth. My son also plays with the characters as figurines and creates battles for them.

 
My six year old got a 3DS for xmas, and we are buying the highlanders giant for him for easter. He should love it,HE traded a kid at school some starwars angry birds stuff for a highlander figure this other kid had doubles of, and now he wants to play the game

:goodposting: We're just about finished with the game content, so my boys (and I) would love a new game. We've finished the storyline and now are going back to get 3 stars on each level.

Is there a new game with swords and decapitation that was announced?
 
The new game will require all new figures :unsure: The new figures can be pulled in two (top and bottom) and mixed/matched to create more figure combos.

 
Is there a way to buy the first game without having to get a starter pack? I don't need the base for the guys and don't feel like having two.

Called last night and spoke to "Justin" who said he'd put one aside for me. Called this morning, and Justin forgot to do it, lol. Guess I'll be searching for the next few weeks. Looking also to get the new 3 pack with S2 Wrecking Ball, S2 FlameSlinger, and S2 Fright RiderS2 Spyro also released.
 
For people who's kids are into these, are they excited about the new "Swap Force" line coming out, or has this thing run its course?

My kid hasn't touched them in about 2-3 months. I think Disney's Infinity line is going to take over this type of gaming.

 
My son has thankfully lost interest in this game completely. I think we've got 20 or 30 figures to show for his brief obsession. Some of his friends still want to play when they visit, but he never plays it on his own.

 
I think mine will want the new game when it comes out. They've lost interest but I think that's because they've finished the game several times and most of their characters are maxed out so really, there's nothing for them to do with it.

 
Mine have completely lost interest. Playing Minecraft and other games now and haven't even wanted to play Skylanders.

IMO they need to fix the co-op play. Having you be tied to the 2nd player makes the game very difficult to navigate around where you want to go. That speaks to lazy developers.

 
Maybe this is old news, but I'm just now seeing that the old portals won't work. You'll have to buy the whole starter kit this time around. Currently $75 on pre-order.

I'm really glad my kids aren't into this.

 
Those figures are $15 a piece?? Thankfully my kids are young enough to not know this. We just play with the 3 figures bundled with the game & system we got them for Xmas.

 
Now that it's been out for a few weeks, what are your opinions on Swap Force? We're enjoying it, but I think Giants was better. There's a lot of times in the new game where the screen is viewed from so far away that it's hard to tell who is who. Also, there's a lot of clutter onscreen, making fighting more difficult.

We've got 5 of the swapping guys, with a sixth being held in reserve as a reward. As far as I can tell that's all the swappable guys that have been released, kind of like how they only released a few Giants at a time. As far as the other new characters go, I'm not sure I see a whole lot of point in buying them. The guys from the old games still work in this one, why buy a new guy that doesn't swap? Although, the non-swappers are $5.00 cheaper so there's that.

ETA: Looks like they just came out with 4 more swap guys.

Debating getting this for Chirstmas for my son since he has Giants and is currently immursed in Disney Infinity.

Knowing the Giants guys work on this one is fantastic news. I didn't think they would. You do need a new base though, correct?

I believe that is correct...the old portals don't work with the new game

 
My 7 year old used all of his birthday $ to buy the new Swapforce. His brothers loved him, but I tried to talk him into waiting for Santa. :shrug: I've been there I guess....

Game looks cool, they love the Wash Buckler / Blue Octopus dude.

Anyone have kids playing SWAP Force? Which characters are their favorites? I'm going to pick up some later tonight when Amazon has the B2G1 free.

 
Anyone's kids playing the Superchargers version that recently came out? My 5 yo really dug trap team on wii so I thought this was a no brainer. Seems like game is limited to only racing on wii version so might need to shoot the lock of the wallet for a ps4 or Xbox to get a current system.
