Sleeper or Value Tight Ends (1 Viewer)

Keller - upside is less freakish Vernon Davis, numbers could be padded by Sanchez's apparent regression leading to more TE targets

Scheffler - fills Dallas Clark role for upstart offense

Fred Davis - great talent, upside hurt by Cooley

Heap - looking good in preseason, if he stays healthy he'll deliver

Watson - decent receiver on team with no WR

Barnidge - decent receiver on team with only 1 WR

David Thomas - don't trust Shockey to be healthy, don't think Graham is ready

Thanks. This really helped. I see that you follow the Eagles too. I have Celek as my #1 TE and with as bad as Kolb has looked this preseason and Celek not having great numbers in the preseason, I figured it'd be a good idea to have a back-up plan.

Agree with list, I think Heap is the one with top 10 potential on that list. Hes Healthy and seems ready to go.

damageinc said "Heap" and "Healthy" in the same statement ....LOL, but gimme Keller after the top tier is gone

Any of the rookies look good enough to put in here?

I like the idea of taking an early flier on Hernandez because if NE uses him in the slot a lot, he could be a WR3 in TE clothing.

I think Gresham belongs. I am torn on the NE TE's because it seems like they could be using both Hernandez and Gronkowski so, in the end, they may end up killing each other's value.

What do people think of Fred Davis? When Cooley was out last year he was their best receiver, and he showed great athleticism and he seemed to be turning into a good pro. Even with Cooley back, I can't help thinking that he's still one of the best receivers on the team and he should get the chance to play a lot. Does anyone else think so?

Yeah Heap and Healthy are like an oxymorn lol. But supposedly its true. When He was healthy he was top 5 TE. Hes healthy again. Dont sleep on him . read Below.

Ravens' tight end Heap healthy, regaining his form

Todd Heap leapt into the air, extending his arms high above his head to snare a Joe Flacco pass in the end zone while New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle hung on his back.

Despite the obvious illegal contact penalty assessed to Rolle, Heap managed to haul in the 13-yard touchdown pass.

It was one of his six receptions for 69 yards during the Ravens' 24-10 victory Saturday night over the New York Giants at M&T Bank Stadium, and it represents a personal game-high for preseason production from Heap.

For Heap, it was another signal that he's fully recovered from the injuries that have plagued him in recent years and that he's rejuvenated by finally having some quality depth behind him after shouldering too big of a workload last season.

"I feel really good physically," Heap said. "My body feels good generally. I'm in a good place right now. I'm excited."

Although the two-time Pro Bowl selection started every contest last season and generated a respectable 53 receptions for 593 yards and six touchdowns for his top season statistically since 2006, he was often kept on the line on third downs as an extra blocker for pass protection.

And L.J. Smith always being hurt ultimately took a toll on Heap, who logged a staggering amount of snaps.

Now that Heap is healthy and has capable reinforcements behind him in rookies Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta, he's beginning to flash his old form.

"Since we've gotten here, there is no doubt this is the best that we've seen," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "He's been healthy. He's had a great offseason. He hasn't had to come back from any kind of injury he had the year before. He's making plays, and he's a real matchup problem for a defense right now."

I like Tony Moeaki (KC). If he doesnt get injured like his chances of putting up decent #s.
