Snelling vs. Norwood (assuming Turner out) (1 Viewer)

Norwood clearly has better speed as demonstrated by ypc differential, but will the Falcons trust him with a majority or even 50% of carries given running style and recent injury problems? Plus, should be better option for passing out of the backfield esp with backup QB. Snelling looks like better bet for goal line work, which is big in TD heavy leagues, but tough to bank on that with Ryan out combined with good Eagles Run D.

Who ya got as the better start this week only?

Wondering the same thing actually. FBG's has Norwood pretty high up, Snelling down quite a bit for PPR leagues. None of the other sites Ive seen have Norwood so high, like in the teens, for this week.

PPR: No doubt, NORWOOD

TD Heavy: Even but neither will be a good option against the Eagles

Performance (nonPPR): NORWOOD gets the edge but again, facing the Eagles rush D I'd think that there would be better options.

Thinking NORWOOD gets about 12 carries for 50 yds, 5 receptions for 40 yds with a better shot for a TD coming in the passing game. SNELLING gets 8-10 carries for 35 yds, 50-50 on punching one in for a TD with no receptions.

I'll be stunned if the Falcons rush the ball more than 15 times this game. 10-5 split for snelling. Norwood with 5-7 catches, snelling with 2-3. Norwood with more yardage, flip a coin on who gets a TD.

Really? With Redman at the helm and Ryan out? Falcons will run more than 15 times without a doubt.I think Norwood is one of the most explosive backs in the league, never understood why the staff(s) never used him more. Snelling is no slouch though, and a tough inside runner. I expect Snelling to see more carries, but them to finish with about the same numbers overall.

im guessing the staff doesnt use him more to limit his exposure to injury

I like Norwood's ability here. He was second on the depth chart behind Turner. The Snelling fumble will possibly keep Snelling in a limited role. I would be shocked if Norwood did not see at least 15 carries and 5-8 passes.

I agree, I was kinda thinking 18-20 carries for snelling, with 10-12 touches for Norwood. I'm wanting to try and control the clock a bit, keep mcnabb off the field.
