and the site appears to be down. I found an old antsports thread from last year about a similar issue back then. wish i had found it then, i would have not joined a league there. am i screwed? what happens now? does the draft get re-scheduled? anyone else in antsports league drafting today?

Did antsports switch to live drafts or something?
If not, isn't there like 8 hours between picks and if so is it really a problem if the site is down for a little while?

I played exclusively at Ants from 2002-2006. I'll never play their again. Too many issues. Steve is a nice guy, but things just never seem to get fixed in a timely manor, the boards are full adolescent BS (personal attacks, offensive slurs, pictures, etc.) Just my 2 cents.
I don't know, it's my first time actually playing in a league there. I just wanted to try a $50 league, so figured why not. I actually have the first pick and pre-selected LT, so at least I'm good until it wraps all the way back to me. So I guess this is the norm then? Sucks, but lesson learned I guess.

I've been in Antsports leagues for 5 years and had a problem with the server once. It will come back and all will be well. Of course you will have selected Kleinsasser with your 1st pick, but that's life.

I have been with Ants a long time as well. Not perfect, but not the mess people make it out to be. The servers will be back up and the drafts will be fine. This doesn't happen all the time as people claim. During the draft 2 years ago, the servers were bogged down and the site moved very slowly. Last year Steve upgraded the servers and everything ran smoothly. I am sure the problem will be solved shortly and your league/draft will be fine. There is a 12 hour timer, and Steve will do everything within his power to make sure you get to make your pick. He tries to call people if their timer runs out. A little annoying for the rest of the league, but certainly a nice touch for those with computer issues or other emergencies.
