I work with a bunch of people who have been there a lot over the past few years. Everyone says is like any downtown city in the U.S.A and I won't be impressed. Most say a train to Florence or Venice is recommended for the weekends

Sunday is the Milan Derby
I dont care if you watch soccer, or not... you go to that game, and it will be an experience you NEVER forget.

I'm in corporate accounting for Bank. I'm a project analyst for the Conversation, Mergers, Acquisitions team. A few years ago we bought a custody bank in Milan and the client data is still on the old bank systems. We are converting the first group of clients over to our systems this weekend. I'm there to help with the effort. The honest truth is I won't be doing much of anything unless something goes wrong.

The greatest single sporting event Ive ever been to and NOTHING comes close. The fans and rivalry are amazing... while being more "subdued" than the Roma/Lazio debries, which always involves death

inter v ac for sure, but tix are hard to come by......you'll have to find a scalping site or get lucky at stadium.
the Milan expo continues thru 10/31 and I suggest a visit or 3, its basically a worlds fair.
depends on where you are staying, but a trip to lake como is recommended, including town hopping to places like belaggio and a ride up the funiculare.
last supper viewing, duomo, even see if la scala has an opera for the experience. they have a nice train system, including metro.

I'll ask around the office when I get there about the match. This sounds like a great time.
I'll probably end up doing a tourist bus one of the days of I don't end up going to a different city. That way I can cover all the must dos.

No. But i found out how much my company paid for the ticket. Airline even let me in the executive club and threw in two free drinks.
