No it didn't. The open CBS pre-game spot vacated by Deion Sanders ended Shannon Sharpe's career. He was all set to come back for at least one more season, but retired late in the offseason after CBS fired Sanders and had an opening (an opening which he coincidentally got within days of retiring).If Sanders hadn't wanted more money, Sharpe would have played at least one more season, guaranteed.

I'm sorry, I got confused. Turf toe ended Sterling Sharpe's career, not Shannon.

Turf toe. It is the lingering injury of all lingering injuries. Has sidelined many a RB for surprisingly long periods of time.If Tatum was showing signs of struggling with the toe during the game, it may not be a one-week thing.

FWIW, I got turf toe my last year of football (ultra-light cleats after going from 185 to 215) at 25. I'm now 29 and it still bothers me if I walk too many holes playing golf over 4 years later.
