So why didn't that fat tub of goo Ron Dayne play? (1 Viewer)

Started Dayne over Selvin at Flex :wall: after seeing what he did last week off the bench and figuring Indy might rest some defensive starters later in the game (and the Colts were missing some guys on the DLine to begin with). And what happens? That fat piece of ##### sits on the bench all game with his helmet half-on and a sour #### look on his mug.

So any word on why Kubiak left Dayne rotting on the bench? Had to be some kind of disciplinary thing, I'm figuring

yeah yeah, point at the shirt, well done.....but seriously, there is zero info on why Dayne was benched....odd that there's been no word whatsoever. so was he hurt or did he piss kubiak off somehow?

Counting on RD @IND was a bold move on your part. Maybe he was late to a meeting etc. It's not like he's a stud and the coach lets him do whatever he wants. He could have tweaked some of that goo during warm-ups as well. :banned:

RB Dayne Active But Will Backup RB Walker

Sunday Morning Update, Footballguys - [Full Article]

The Houston Texans have decided to start RB Darius Walker today even though veteran RB Ron Dayne is active and available to play. Expect to see some of Dayne coming off of the bench but if Walker plays well he could earn the bulk of the work against the Colts.

Texans Injury Update: QB Schaub Could Backup?

Megan Manfull, Houston Chronicle - [Full Article]

After some light throwing on Monday, Texans QB Matt Schaub could be healthy enough to serve as the backup this week behind QB Sage Rosenfels. Also RB Ron Dayne (ankle) and LB DeMeco Ryans (knee) could end up on the IR, but both plan on playing until told otherwise. They will practice on a limited basis, however. "I haven't been able to move like I want. But, being the quarterback of the defense, I can't let it slow me down. I've got to be out there," Ryans said.

This info definitely puts this thread back into the :drive: category.

Dayne's been nursing an ankle injury and Kubiak had stated that he wanted to use Dayne as the "second half bruiser" against Indy like he did against Denver last week. Since the game was already over by the second half I'm sure Kubiak didn't want to risk further injuring Dayne in case he could be used next week against Jacksonville.
