Some value I like in this year's draft so far... (1 Viewer)

QB Aaron Rodgers QB 17 and overall 109

Before this season, I didn't know if it was Rogers or Rodgers. We've seen his name so many times linked to Farve this summer it's burned into my long term memory forever I think. Simply said, I predict Aaron Rodgers will make the Pro Bowl this season.

I actually think Rodgers is being over-valued. I don't think he'll make the Pro Bowl, I doubt he plays more than six games. He is a huge injury risk. And we have seen very little of him to make an evaluation. At about the same draft spot are Delhomme, Schaub, and Vince Young. I like all three better than Rodgers. I just think he is way too much of a risk.

If we've seen very little of him to make an evaluation, why do you feel so strongly that he's a huge injury risk?

Cotchery - most don't realize but he finished #19 & #20 the last two years in PPR leagues. If the Jets offense improves so should his TD's.
I did the spotlight on Cotchery and learned a lot about him I didn't know after delving into his numbers. He should be great in a PPR league, but his TDs may be an issue. If you can add him as your WR3, great, but I def. wouldn't want to rely on him in a non-PPR league as my WR2, and probably not in a PPR league, either.

TD's can be random and the Jets offense should be improved, so I think it is a good chance that his TD's improve. Also seem to think he has that "it" factor, just needs the rest of the offense to step up.

I think Brandon Marshall will be a nice value. He's a top-10 WR(maybe top-5 in PPR) when he's playing and he may only miss 2-4 games (though 8 is still possible) if I could get him in round 5 or so, I'd consider that an excellent value. He could put up 75-1,000-7 in 12 games.

Laurence Maroney is a guy I think I might be higher on then anyone else, but he seems like a major steal in drafts, I've seen him fall to round 4 which is way too far, I'd use an early third on him with confidence. Expecting at least 1,100-9.

He's already been hurt twice in very limited action. That really worries me. We have little to evaluate as far as seeing him play in live action. The situation is good, but we have seen Delhomme play really well. Schaub played very well while he was healthy last year. And Vince Young has shown flashes. There is always risk with any player, but I think Rodgers carries more risk than these other players.

My buy of the year is Ricky Williams. Best backup RB for this year IMO. Potential to finish in the top 25 RB's.
I agree. I have heard Ricky looks good in camp. You can get him at the end of the draft. I don't trust that Ronnie Brown will be recovered from that ACL.
