UPDATE 01/01: Happy New Year !!
So what are you going to do now that your Fantasy League's Season has ended or will end this week. Have withdrawals?
You can postpone those shakes for another 6 weeks and possibly wean yourself off Football for the summer by joining the 34 Teams that have currently signed-up to participate in this year's Spitbowl.
If you have been riding the fence on this one now is the time to jump off. Think about it, you don't have to compete against hundreds, possibly thousands, in those commercial post-season contests, you'll have the opportunity to make additional friends, won't have to put out a bunch of money and most of all have its fun.
The Wildcard Games start a week from tomorrow; come join us; you'll be pleased you did.

Back in the day, (15 years or so ago), our League conducted a PostSeason contest called the SpitBowl. Originally it was only offered to the League's Teams, but because it generated a lot of outside interest we opened it to everyone who wanted in.
It has turned out to be a very popular event – the number of participants has increased many fold and last year we had 41 Teams in the contest. This year we are hoping to surpass 50.
Here’s how it works -
1) The duration of the contest is four weeks – from the Wildcard Games to the Superbowl.
2) Only NFL Players from the Playoff Teams are utilized.
3) Once you’ve selected your Roster, you’re done; you’ll need to submit a lineup if you have choices on who to start at any position.
4) It’s a Total Points League; no Head-2-Head.
5) Entry Fee is $20. All fees. (less payment processing fees), are returned to the top 4 finishers. Last year we had 5 winners. The number of winners increases for every 10 over 40.
6) Mostly it’s a Touchdown League with PPR.
The key to winning the “SpitBowl” is to choose NFL Players that will make it to the SuperBowl and try to put together a full lineup each week. Once your Player’s NFL Team is eliminated so is your Player. So its possible that you won't have a full lineup for a week or so. So pick wisely.
This year an exciting enhancement is on the table - the addition of a Flex Player which could be a QB, RB, WR, TE, PK or TM (DT/ST). A vote is currently taking place on this and you''ll be able to voice your opnion after signing-up.
Also, a participant may own more than one Team. And bring your Friends, Family, Foes and Colleagues to create a personal rivalry.
