Ronald Curry. As much as I dislike the Raiders I think Curry will get 950 8tds.
Yeah I am in the boat with you on this one. Since my big$ league gives 1 point for receptions for WR and TE only it really makes him valuable. I also like Antonio Bryant in TB.I have allways had pretty good luck(more often than not) picking a wr late, that is ready to break out, put up numbers that way out jusify his ADP. This year that guy for me is Kevin Walter. After AJ gets hurt Walter is going to be the main man. Evan when AJ is healthy, he will be drawing the double team leaving Walter one on one with the second corner. I am in what I think is a growing group of sharks that thinks Shaulb is going to out perform HIS ADP, so who else will he be targeting.Last year walter had over a 100 targets. thats pretty good for a guy that you can get in the 11th round or later.Who is your Sshhh guy?
I've been looking at him for a while but haven't pulled the trigger anywhere.Anybody in the same boat about Walter?Love this guy!!!!!!!!!!
No Ike Bruce?Snag Bryant Johnson, Arnaz Battle, or Josh Morgan (already mentioned) and wait for Martz to start slinging the ball around in SF. The WR you pick might be useless or he may go for 1,000 and 6 TD's. "49er wideouts is the new Bronco running backs". Throw a dart at the depth chart and hope for a hit.![]()
Then again, neither does the Skins passing game...Ripleys said:ARE. The skins rookie WRs don't look like they will be factors...
This was my last pick in a 14 round draft. I think a) the Bears will have to throw as they will play from behind, and b) Orton/Davis have already shown chemistry. I think he will outperform a lot of bigger names out there and in many leagues will be a hot FA pickup as soon as week 1.Balco said:pecorino said:rashied davis?I think he is the most talented receiver on the Bears by far.
Funny, before I opened the thread I guessed Walter and I did the same thing....I knew nobody would be thinking him and took him in the 13th round. Win/win situation. If AJ gets hurt you have a #1 guy and if AJ is healthy he gains so much attention he can roam more freely. I love this guy. He is my #4 WR and I hope he develops.I have allways had pretty good luck(more often than not) picking a wr late, that is ready to break out, put up numbers that way out jusify his ADP. No. Walker has lost the desire to play. He won't even sniff the bench on any of my teams.Javon Walker is not a bad guy to target in the tenth round or later. It's possible he ends up being worthless, but he is still immensely talented and thus presents a lot of upside. Not sure if he's lost a step after all the injuries, but if not, he should be able to stretch the field and we all know Jamarcus throws a good deep ball. If all goes right, it's not inconceivable to think he could go for something like 80 1100 8.
Great insight here. You're probably better off grabbing the guy in your avatar anyway.No. Walker has lost the desire to play. Actually I would much rather have Henry and his suspension than Walker. Look man, the guy is done. I don't care how much talent he had - he lost it in his head.Great insight here. I'm assuming that nearly any of the top 2 WRs for each team don't count as "Ssshhhhh" guys. I'm working with the assuption that Wilford is the #3. As I said, depends on how big/deep your league is.Wilford isn't even the starter for Miami, and is a risk of being cut (although not likely). Hagan is the starter opposite Ginn in Miami.I don't have a lot to go on other than a gut feeling, but I think Ernest Wilford in Miami may do decent. Better than his current draft position, which is very low or not drafted depending on your leeg size.
there's this guy... Bobby Sippioshhhh...
Chiefs waived WR Bobby Sippio, T Will Svitek, G Tre' Stallings, G Rob Smith, LB Lerue Rumph, and FB Chris Manderino. All members of the Chiefs' final cuts lists are candidates for AFL2.
To finally agree with you on a player!!! rocks.Keenan Burton
I like that one a lot, but they seem to be trying pretty hard to get Avery in there. I pulled the trigger on Kent, myself. To finally agree with you on a player!!! rocks.Keenan Burton
Just curious as to what makes you think he's done mentally... I know the guy has always had serious attitude issues, but I think the change of scenery is a good thing - look at what he did his first season in Denver.Actually I would much rather have Henry and his suspension than Walker. Thanks... not sure how I missed that.Nonetheless, if he has decided to play, I still think he's worth a late round pick. Got Walter in the 8th and A.Bryant in the 15thAntonio Bryant. Galloway has been nursing a sore groin all preseason, Hilliard's a year older, and Clayton and Stovall have yet to display any sort of consistency.
Jordan Kent

Javon Walker-WR- Raiders Aug. 2 - 12:37 pm et
Raiders WR Javon Walker told the Raiders Thursday he intended to retire and offered to return his $11 million signing bonus.
Owner Al Davis reportedly persuaded him to remain with the team. Walker has struggled in camp so far, but we never expected something this drastic. Walker's knee doesn't appear to be getting better, and he obviously has some mental hurdles to clear after a trying offseason. With red flags popping up all over, the troubled receiver should remain on your "do not draft" list.

Raiders coach Lane Kiffin called out WR Javon Walker Sunday.
Kiffin pointed to a couple of balls Walker should have caught before stating that he has to start earning his money: "That's discouraging because he was paid an awful lot of money, paid like one of the top five receivers in the NFL. We need him to make those plays." And who's going to call out Al Davis for purchasing swampland in Florida?

Javon Walker-WR - Raiders Aug. 19 - 8:37 am et
Raiders coach Lane Kiffin hinted that he'll consider moving Drew Carter or Ronald Curry to split end if Javon Walker doesn't step up his play.
Walker hasn't performed since signing in March. "If it becomes something where Javon is not playing as well as we need him to play, both of those guys have learned 'X' so they can go over there," Kiffin said. "I expect Javon to have a big (third preseason) game. I'm putting in a game plan, and he should see some balls early. Hopefully, he'll make some plays."

Coach Lane Kiffin says Javon Walker is continuing to struggle in practice.
"Javon hasn’t had a very good week," he said. Kiffin is considering demoting Walker from the starting lineup and moving Drew Carter or Ronald Curry to split end. Walker needs a big third preseason game to keep his job.

He was featured more in the playoffs because of the injury to Gates. Before that he was invisible. He was my "sleeper" last year...i'll pass on him this year.Vincent JacksonHe was money in the playoffs last year and he also looked good in the preseason games that he's played.
I agree somewhat w/ the "lost it in his head," but he is still very talented. I'm also getting a little A.I. vibe from him... "We talkin about PRACTICE!?"whodeywhodey said:thatguy said:Guess I wasn't aware of that... care to elaborate?Javon Walker-WR- Raiders Aug. 2 - 12:37 pm et

If you have a year or 2 to stash, he will be a star. Right now he is forcing things and dropping the easy balls, but making nice catches on others. He has the jitters along with Mendy. Sweed will not take over Washington's 3rd WR roll this year but most certainly will next year. Man can Sweed get open but has the dropsies.I grabbed Limas Sweed in the 14th (Dynasty) - I think he's got the raw materials to be a stud: 6'4", 210, 4.46 40-yard at the combine, long term starter at Texas.I think the Steelers are going to increase their downfield passing game going forward which will be great for all of the offensive players of the team.
Sharing balls with Smith and Hackett on a run-first offense with two healthy RBs. I'd say his ADP is pretty reasonable. The best case for Muhammad, aside from injury to a teammate, is that the defense stinks, the O-Line can't run-block, and Delhomme is 100%. Short of that his numbers figure to be way too mediocre and volatile to be startable.Just my $0.02.The guy I like that no one has mention is mushin muhammed...he was very mediocre for the bears but with rex grossman throwing to him what do you expect. Due to his age and recent past production I've been able to get him if the later rounds of about four different leagues. I haven't forgotten in 2004 which was his last year in carolina he had over 1,300 yards and 14 TDs. I wouldn't draft him to be a starter but IMO he has nice upside and definitely worth having as your #4 wr
He's definitely fast and a fantastic kick returner, but I'm not sure he has what it takes to be a productive NFL receiver - of course I haven't see a whole lot of him since he left Denver. In Denver though, he always seemed too soft, a bit like Ashleigh Lelie.Even from what I've seen of him in the return game, he has the speed and vision to find the seam, but he doesn't seem to run with a whole lot of authority.Shhh.... Domenik Hixon. Good size, speed, hands; just needs the opportunity.![]()
It does if you add a couple of letters at the end."Shhhhhhhhh" doesn't belong in the same sentence with Patrick Crayton.Patrick Crayton?
He slipped through the cracks last year too. Everyone loves the RBs and picks them dry. I think I got an absolute steal to get him for free, and I really needed the bench depth (Chris Johnson, Chester Taylor, Kevin Walter, and now Vincent Jackson)I don't know what happened in your league but VJax is definitely not a "ssshhhhh" receiver. He's going in the top 10 rounds in most drafts. That said I really like him and completely agree with your assessment.
