Since the other Stallworth thread discusses the Pats deal that never happened, I thought I'd start a separate thread on his the visit to Tennessee. Any word out of that camp? He was supposed to arrive last night, so you'd have to think by now there would be some sort of update.

See now I disagree. Where the Eagles spread it around too much, I feel like Stallworth would be the top WR for VY for years to come. I think his fantasy value would increase in Tenn.
 
I would approve of signing Stallworth, if for no other reason then his field-stretching abilities would open additional running lanes for Vince. I also would love for Tennessee to use it's first 3 picks on defense instead of a WR. Patrick Willis or Jarvis Moss in round 1 and a CB like Marcus McCauley in round 2 would be awesome.

Gotta figure he'd be good for at least 4 broken-play bomb TD's a year.
 
just going to bump this up for updates. Stallworth has been in Tennessee as long as Jamal was in Cleveland, Jamal has a deal done. Stallworth had an offer from the Pats yesterday and walked away. I'd have to think Tenn either made him an offer, or he is on his way to visit somewhere else. Any rumblings?

PFT thinks, and I agree, that Stallworth will visit Miami tomorrow and then decide between Miami, Tenn., NE and the Eagles on Friday...

The Associated Press, citing the Boston Herald, is reporting unrestricted free-agent WR Donte' Stallworth (Eagles) visited the New England Patriots Tuesday, March 6, and was offered a six-year, $32 million deal

. Doesn't say he signed but.....

 
The lack of news on Stallworth baffles me.

1st the substance abuse leak

then the offer from the Pats that STILL sits out there

then the visit to Tennessee

and yesterday he went to Miami

Yet no word about anything from this guy.

Taking a one year deal as some sources havce said he might would be suicide I think, it's too risky.

Any updates from NFL Network

 
Nothing new because it has been reported he'd wait until Friday for a decision.

I can not say it enough: Nick Harper, Stallworth, and Wistrom makes this a much better team and allows them to take BPA in the draft. WIllis, Nelson, Lynch, etc.
