I couldn't find a thread on this, and we can't have enough Star Wars threads.

I've enjoyed the show, even if it's targeted for young kids.  Having Vader in it is a plus, with James Earl Jones voicing him to boot.  After this week's finale, I had a couple of thoughts.

Spoiler

1. The guy doing Darth Maul is fantastic. 
   
2. Is Ashoka dead?  I have no idea.  If she's not...then #3
   
3. I know it's a kid show, but damn does Vader need to start offing some people.  This is twice they bring him in as the big baddie (the first time in the episode "Siege of Lothal") and both times he doesn't finish the job.  Is this guy a super bad-### or is he not?  I know everyone will cry if he kills one of the main characters, but at least bring in some Jedi Masters for him to kill off in a suitable manner.  
   
4. I figure they'll have a Maul/Vader showdown with Vader killing him.  That would be helpful, but it doesn't help #3, since he can't close the deal on the good guys.

Love this show. And I'm pretty sure the answer to your #2 is yes, they just didn't show it.

ETA: Wikipedia says "She is last seen stumbling through the temple's ruins after the collapse." but I don't remember seeing her after it blew.

I didn't the first time but people were pointing it out online (evidently there's an official t-shirt for Ashoka related to it).  So I treat he's the end and it is there - very brief and very hard to recognize.

Lot of rumors say season 3 will wrap this story up and then a new show will bring together what happened between 6 and 7.

Takes place between 3 and 4. A lot of the characters from Clone Wars show up but are obviously older.
