Yahoo reports a federal judge has ruled the NFL can suspend the five players who tested positive in the StarCaps case. Pat & Kevin Williams, Charles Grant and Will Smith will apparently miss the first four games this season.

Update: the ESPN report stopped short of Yahoo. ESPN reports the federal judge sided with the NFL on a couple counts and dismissed the players' lawsuit, but remanded the case back to the state court. Not completely clear what this means, but it appears on the surface the suspensions may be upheld.

Implications for the Vikings & Saints defenses (particularly other IDP targets on those teams)?

I think he is too old now. He played for the Jaguars for awhile before the Saints IIRC.But yeah if he is still there someone has to start.The vikings could have drafted Jerry. Instead they took Harvin. This one might haunt me awhile.
