Ben's got a higher ceiling than any of those guys, except maybe Bortles, but Bortles is so erratic and up/down in scoring that I don't see how anyone can trust him to start for their team.
No idea what Hundley will look like.
No idea what Kizer will look like after his benching.
Siemian has possibly the best matchup, but he's so inconsistent it'd be very tough to trust him also.
McCown with a decent matchup, but Jets....
Keenum in a decent matchup...but Diggs ruled out already.
I'd roll with Ben and pray that this is his "return to normalcy" game. At least Ben is at home, where he usually plays well. If it were a road game that would be a different story.
I'd go Hundley, he's got the best supporting cast, and also is a very active runner. Think of him like Tyrod Taylor with a WAY better supporting cast. I think he's got more upside than Big Ben, and that may be the case going forward as well.
Good god, that is an ugly mess to have as your options this week. I think I agree with travdogg, roll with Hundley. He's an unknown, but he's actually a pretty good talent and GB made the likes of Matt Flynn look like an undiscovered superstar in the making. Not only can you just not trust Ben anymore, but even his "at home" starts haven't been very good (his 0TD 5INT game was at home). Not to mention Cincy has made every QB they faced not named Aaron Rodgers look awful. I honestly don't think any of the other guys are even worth mentioning. I'd go with the unknown but well-coached, well-supported option this week in your case.
Plus for Roethlisberger is that Pac Man Jones will be out, leaving AB to run wild. Minus for Roethlisberger is OT Gilbert is out, leaving Bengals to run wild in the Steelers backfield.
I think I'd roll with Roethlisberger, although if Hundley was available he'd be a reasonable choice too.
I'd roll with big Ben, he has such a great receiving crew including bell. Lots of horsepower and ceiling compared to others out there. I think Huntley would be too preemptive...3 ints and poor accuracy is what I saw last week, didn t others?
