Thanks !

Other: Brian Urlacher

If he has been taken, too, I'd choose between Ray Lewis and Will Witherspoon depending on the direction you want and risk tolerance.

Lewis should be fine over a two year window. Witherspoon could be a top ten player for a longer term, but carries some risk since he's not proven himself in the middle.

sorry -- Urlacher is gone

i was thinking (in order)

Barnett

Witherspoon

Briggs

comments....
Taking a small-moderate risk that Barnett won't be moved to SLB in the next 12 months. Briggs is risky with questions about whether he will remain in Chicago and because he doesn't have much upside from his current numbers. Witherspoon's situation is almost certainly static for the next 2-3 seasons if he proves himself.I'd take the gamble on Witherspoon. If he hits, you've got a top twelve player.

It does not get as solid as London Fletcher and Keith Brooking. Both are good for another four solid years.

N. Barnett is destined for the SLB...if not this year it will be the year after.

I like L. Briggs and think he will be a baller for a long time.

W. Witherspoon is in a great situation and he could put up Fletcher type numbers when he played for the RAMS.

I would go:

L. Fletcher

K. Brooking

L. Briggs

N. Barnett

W. Witherspoon.

RAPTURE

Dynasty? Witherspoon. I also like Briggs, but I have him ranked just below Will.

Is Ray lewis gone?

of those listed I like Fletcher, just so solid and then Witherspoon.

I'm a little leary of Barnett since he coudl move to SLB and Hawk is there to steal tackles.

Davis and Briggs are solid too.

Not sure what your situation is, but are you locked into a lb or are there other positions you are also looking at?

my league is a keeper/salary cap, but I don't get caught up in looking more than a couple years ahead. There is so much turnover at LB from year to year. Getting guys that produce year in and year out is a big advantage; but there are always guys that can fill in if you are allowed waivers during the season.
