Starting Demarco Murray Over... (1 Viewer)

Benching him over Maurice Morris as I have Hillis and Felix Jones on my bench too.

Tough decision but Murray is still 1a and 1b with Choice until I see different . I do like the matchup for Murray but I need to see him featured more. Felix has been hurt all season and it hasn't been the Murray show. They've had both guys running it and I wouldn't be shocked if they brought out Rb Tanner today for a few carries. I just feel like I know what I am getting in Morris as I've seen him last year but the matchup isn't as good. Tough call but I'm leaning towards Morris .

Yea I believe Murray will be auditioned in the 4th quarter if the Cowboys have a nice lead. I'd still start Morris ahead of him though if I had him.

no other choice! Starting Murray, Michael Bush and Torain and pray for rain...in London that is...since my opponent is starting Earnest Graham...

crazy thing is I have such good matchups at other positions I am still favored to win with my entire starting backfield off or hurt this week.

Excellent points, I especially concur regarding Tanner. However ...Even with Felix nicked up, Jerr-uh himself copped to having Choice on the trading block. Not exactly a ringing endorsement, given the circumstances. Dallas knows what it has in Choice, and obviously the opinion isn't too high, considering aforementioned trade rumors AND drafting both Murray and Tanner.Choice is a guy who I see as still riding the coattails of that one huge game in Pittsburgh a few seasons back ... what has he really done since? I expect him to see some action today, yes ... but mostly by attrition, as being a healthy body to spell Murray, and get some third down work in pass protection ... but that's it. If one was holding Murray all season, this is the game to roll him out ... the Rams are a bad run defense, Bradford is out ... and Dallas should have their way offensively, taking their frustrations out, at home, on a lesser opponent. If ya can't start Murray this week, then cut him, and free up a roster spot.As far as your particular "choice" (pun intended) with Morris ... how can you be so sure Williams won't steal carries? After all, both Schwartz and Linehan are on record as saying Keiland will get the short yardage, and GL work. Who has the better shot at busting one today? Morris or Murray? I am in the same boat (Murray/Morris in one league), and will bank on the rook taking one to the house. Morris is a very steady play, for sure ... but Murray's ceiling is much higher. I swing for the fences here.Good luck to all, either way

I would agree that the ceiling is potentially higher for Murray, especially in PPR leagues. I am not sure Williams won't steal some carries, in fact I think he will definately get some. However, if there are 2 teams I know more than any others it's Dallas (my favorite team) and Detroit (the city I've lived all my life, 40 years)and from what I've read the coaching staff of Detroit feels comfortable with Morris. One thing that makes me feel more comfortable is that I did watch him perform pretty well last year the last 5 games where the Lions won. I don't love that matchup vs. Atlanta but the game should be close and Morris should get 15 plus carries, if things go right over 20.I hope Murray does do well, in fact I hope both Rb's do well. It's very possible I am not right on this call as I've debated it in my head the last 48 hours. If the Cowboys showed me they were just a little more effective running the ball overall I would go with Murray but they've struggled. Hopefully today Murray helps turn that around against a team that should struggle all day with a backup QB leading them.Good luck to you as well.

PPR

Murray over Morris. There should be plenty of opportunities to go around and the matchup is tasty as it gets. No reason to think Detroit won't be throwing all day.

You guys have only added to my indecision with good points each way. I so want to "swing for the fences" with Murray but I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger. I know someone will gripe as this comes out as a WDIS but I am contemplating starting Murray over Beanie, but haven't decided yet.

It's the fact of Beanie facing Pittsburgh that scares me. I want to swing for the fences and put one out but think I'll be more ticked off at myself if I whiff.

Of course this is the week for Murray is there ever was one.....well, I have until 4 to make my decision....

I want to start him over Steven Jackson, but after watching Packers/Rams last week, the Rams try to get the ball to Jackson first in that offense whether its in the backfield or lined up as a receiver.

I'll be starting Murray over taking a zero at the RB position. I passed up on Maurice Morris on the waiver wire to keep him though.

While Morris probably will get more touches, I like to take my chances with the more dynamic player who may put up some big points. I think Murray is that guy...although he could also end up getting my 3 points.

Beanie's borderline unbenchable. Talent + workhorse role. i wouldnt start Murray over him.

Anyone notice who's been getting the goalline carries in Dallas when Felix was out? I do remember Choice was in the Patriots game for a shuttle pass in the redzone.

tailback DeMarco Murray, whose college strength was the passing game with 157 receptions at Oklahoma, more than any running back drafted in April. Murray saw extensive action with Dallas' first-team offense when Jones was healthy last week, and received six of the backfield's ensuing seven touches following Felix's injury. All told, Murray amassed 12 touches compared to Tashard Choice's six after Jones went down. While this is going to be a rotation, Murray is Dallas' clear favorite for carries and catches, making him a worthwhile flex against St. Louis' soft front seven. In addition to ranking last in the league in run defense, the Rams are serving up a healthy 4.85 yards per carry

As of now, Murray is in over: Ingram, DeAngelo, and Jackie Battle in a PPR.

DeAngelo isn't being considered, but at this point I am just flipping a coin to determine between the other three.

I think Murray might be the best play in PPR, but Ingram might see the most touches with Battle, although Battle is on the worst team :kicksrock:

I am starting DeMarco Murray as RB3 over THT & J Stew. I am also benching Mo Morris....

Start 2 RB, 3 WR & 2 Flex in 0.5 ppr

Rams allow #4 most points to RBs

Falcons are #20

Redskins #28 for those who have J Stew or DeA Will.

Picked up Murray off WW. Everybody was making bids on Ronnie Brown (we use BB Sims $)

Torn if I should start Mo Morris over Tenn WR Damian Williams

I really like his potential!

Never bench your studs. I lose and I go 3-4.

I am debating benching MJD who has been solid but he going up agains one of if not the toughest run defense. I can see Baltimore keeping MJD out of the endzone more than I can see the Rams keeping Murray out of the endzone.

This is also PPR league and for some reason Jacsonville has not figured out that MJD should be more involved in the passing game.

So that is why I decided to start Murray over MJD just as I am typing this. Will proabaly change my mind 3 more times then put the wrong one in today.

I'm in the same position and I'm going with Murray. I may regret it in the long run, but gotta go with my gut.

Back and forth between Murrey and Sproles. At leats I know Sproles will get some yards and maybe a score. So tough to tell with the Cowboys RBs that evev they guy who gets a lot of carries may not punch it in. Dallas has struggled in that regard no matter who is in.

I did NOT start Murray over Mr. McGahee and one Bloom love child named Mark Ingram. Nice 91 yard TD run to start the game! :bag:

Well, I was out with the family and told myself if I made it home in time to change to Murray I would, if not, it was fate to stay with Beanie. No exaggeration here, I literally got home and online with 1 minute to go and put Murray in and pulled Beanie....thank you, thank you, thank you Gods whom controlled the street lights coming home!

Everyone makes bad calls..but you sure did make a ton of statements like this this week. Maybe next time you'll think before you troll.

This one saved me today.

Had AP, CJ2K and Mathews as my RB's today. Murray was on my bench.

However, I picked him up off waivers before the guy with Felix did. I played that guy this week. Keeping him away from that guy WON me the game!!!!
