Startup SuperFlex Dynasty Draft Poll/Question - pick 1.01 (1 Viewer)

So just started a new Superflex Dynasty league with TE Premium PPR scoring.  Should be great fun.

We are doing an 18 round veteran draft followed by a 4 round rookie some time in May/June.  I won the top pick which gave me the right to select my draft position.  So if I take 1.01 in the veteran I get 1.12 in the rookie and so on.

What would you do?  Take the 1.01 and not worry about the rookie draft?  Play the 1.12/2.01 turn in the veteran and get the 1.01 in the rookie draft?  Something in the middle to maximize both positions?

I took the 1.01 and OBJ but I didnt come to that decision easily.  I toyed with both of the other scenarios and decided to go with the "sure thing" and get the most valuable player.  Of course reasonable people could argue on whether or not OBJ was the best choice there too

Scoring is .5 PPR for RB, 1 point PPR for WR and1.5 PPR for TE.  And Superflex.  .1 point for rushing attempt too.  So maybe Andrew Luck there?  David Johnson?  Arguments can be made for all those I think.  Gronk????

It's an interesting way to go to separate out veteran vs rookie drafts but I would have fought for an auction draft.  I think it's a terrible idea to start a dynasty league with a snake draft.  Every owner should have the opportunity of whatever player they want and that is not the case in a snake draft.  It's a disservice for a dynasty league to start that way.

That being said, since it is a Super Flex I probably would have gone QB with my first pick.  I don't think you can go wrong with OBJ but I would have gone a different direction.

I won't nitpick the league setup but I don't like it. I would have gone opposite and taken pick 12 and the first rookie pick.
