Stats accumulated on 2-point conversions... (1 Viewer)

Last night the Chargers stopped a two-point conversion attempt with a sack. IIRC, they also stopped another one with an interception. These stats were not recorded as official and were therefore not scored in fantasy on Sportsline.

I believe this is correct - as I understand it, none of the stats that are accumulated on a 2-point conversion count. It's an untimed play. Sacks and INT's don't go in the books as official stats. Similarly, if Favre completes a 2-point conversion to Keller, Favre doesn't get 2 yards passing and Keller doesn't get a 2-yard reception. The only thing that matters on a 2-point conversion is whether or not it is successful.

Am I correct on this? The owner with the Chargers D in one of my leagues lost by one point last night, and I think this may become an issue.

Yes. It makes sense since the defense can't return an interception (for any amount of points) during a 2-pt conversion play.

I see a slight disconnect though. The defense does get credit for blocked PAT's. :goodposting:
You make a good point, too. I would like to see the team defense get credited for stopping a 2-pt conversion.
