Steeler DEF (1 Viewer)

Am I the only person thinking the Steeler DEF, led by the famed **** LeBeau, has a chance to catch fire for the rest of the year? In real football terms they are a top 5 defense and you gotta figure Polamalu will return eventually or else they would have IRdhim.

Playoff matchups weeks 14, 15 and 16.

vs Chargers

@ Cowboys

vs Bengas

I just think if you're weak at defense and bound for the playoffs, the Steelers offer a decent upside pick. I'm buying.

I've been rolling with the 49ers all year but plugged in the Chargers for their bye week based solely on the KC matchup - 25 points. Somebody dropped the Stillers so I swapped the backup DSTs based solely on the KC matchup - 8 points. Back to San Fran, 17 points last night.

I held onto Pittsburgh because of the favorable matchups, but it's hard to trust them. Their FF scoring has been subpar all year. Agree that could change if/when Troy returns.

I too have the 49ers and am awfully tempted to drop them... The Steelers, as well as the Redskins, Seahawks, Chargers, and Panthers are available in my league.

Fantasywise, the Steelers DEF has been underwhelming to say the least not meeting expectations against the Eagles and the Chiefs. That same tasty week 16 match up against the Bengals (who give up 8.9 ppg) produced 2 points in week 7.

I will likely swap the 49ers for Seattle this week and keep an eye on the Chargers in case the Jets look to go to Tebow-Time for the championship game.

I like em. Thy are getting healthy at the right time. Never seen them cover WR's so well. If LaBeu calls a few more blitzes they will get more turnovers. Our league places heavy emphasis on yards allowed so they are good in that regard. Paired them with the Broncos for the rest of the way.

In real life the Steelers defense has been outstanding for the past 5 or 6 weeks. FF not so good -- they just don't get enough turnovers and have ZERO touchdowns. I guess they are due though...
