Steelers Faithful: WAVE THOSE TOWELS! (1 Viewer)

What am I supposed to do . . . I am down 8.5 with Leftwich and Fred Taylor and my opponent has FWP. I'm so  And I have Rudi Johnson next week. :towelwave:

2-0 or 1-1, it won't matter next week when the Bengals roll into town. Bengals will be 3-0.
Bungles will be dumpin' :najehhumor: that undefeated talk in the nearest box of kitty litter they can find. Steelers will take the Bengals down...
But they'll be sure to have a good excuse--"I know the Bengals would have won if........."

:towelwave: As long as Taylor can get 125/1 in a losing effort. Oh yeah, while I'm wishing, I'd also like 2 Palmer to C.J. TDs in a 14-28 loss next week too. :towelwave:

We beat you last year, and it's gonna happen again this year. Go Jags!!!
Why? Are the Steelers bringing back Tommy Maddox to start tonight?
Wait a second, he wasn't playing last year against the Jags. It was roethlisberger, wasn't it?
You are right, it was Maddox. Still like the Jags chances, should be a great game.
I guess you don't remember the Maddox "gift" last year huh? Watch the games before you talk trash.

nope, big ben injured the week before in SD. Maddox stunk up the joint with a 39% completetion percentage and 3 picks. Believe me, that was not Ben. We all remember it too well. :hot:

Like it's anyone elses fault your back up stunk. Rosters are 53 strong, game days it 45 strong. Stop whining because your team had a bad back up already. Our back up QB went 5-1. Fred Taylor was out, Donavan Darius was out, Mike Pearson was out etc. But guess what, all the Jag back ups played well. It's called a team. Did Tommy Maddux allow Greg Jones to run for 59 yards in the first quarter? Was it Tommy Maddux that , held FWP to 55 yard and Bettis to almost nothing? The only reason that game was even close was Randle El. Yea, Tommy stunk. But your team started him and your team lost. Stop making excuses.

Way to argue the "team" concept and then make excuses about the game being close because of ARE.

LOL, Garrard started and beat Arizona, Cleveland, San Francisco, Houston, and Tennesse. WOW!!! Much like the Jags entire team last year, he won against a few patsies and lost in the only game against a decent opponent... Indianapolis.Ya think the Jags had that success on defense because they didn't have to cover a receiver farther than 15 yards down the field? I do.I hope Ben isn't rusty tonight, and I really hope they aren't rushing him back. Part of me thinks they're bringing him back this week mostly because they want him to get a game under his belt before the Bengals next week.

And by the way, Maddox wasn't the Steelers' backup last year.

Charlie Batch was, but he was injured too.

Maddox was the Steelers' THIRD string QB last year.

Nope."Steelers coach Bill Cowher considered pulling Maddox for Charlie Batch, but didn't because Batch has played only a handful of downs since 2001."

Stats look pretty damn even to me. Steelers had 4 TOs to Jax's 1 and yet kept the yards and score about the same.

:bag: LOL, forgot, that's the game that cost him the #2 spot... Batch got the starts later in the season and won two games (against GB and CLE).

making excuses? I have nothing to make excuses about. THE STEELERS ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS, lest you forgot. (man, I just never, ever get tired of typing that :pickle: )It was simply brought up because there was a poster here who thought It was Big Ben playing last year. But anyway, you beat us in week 6 last year. You made it to the playoffs and then got DEMOLISHED in the wildcard game. But congrats on that week 6 win. :bye:

I'm sure the seahawks and bengals will be happy to know they are patsies. Oh, and the steelers are patsies too I guess by your logic. The Jags were 4-0 against your divison, so I guess your whole divison is full of patsies? And the Jags D doesn't need any excuse to have success. They did pretty well in 2004 against 15-1 Pitt, holding them to 17 points. Look, Pitt has a good team and Jacksonville has a good team. They play similar styles of roughneck, in your face football. The all-time series is only separated by one game with the Jags up 9-8 and these teams have played some classics. Remember Cowher almost punching the guy running for the TD off the blocked punt(edit to FG) that won the game? Or Big Ben leading the Pitt to a lead late in 2004, only see Jax comeback and just miss a 60 yard FG? This should be good stuff tonight. Just let the Maddux stuff go and admit you got beat.

Haha.. Now that's much better smack talk. And I agree. Why would steeler fan want to whine about losing in week 6 when they won the Super Bowl? But I hear it all the time. So Maddux stunk, big deal. Take the loss and move on... to Detriot.

:lmao: All I did was respond to a guy who said the Jags would win with a sarcastic question about Maddox possibly playing!I stopped using the "We won the Super Bowl" thing months ago because I got sick of the stupid referee talk that always seemed to follow. But ACP is right... it NEVER gets old saying!

I remember that game well. That was an awesome, smashmouth, defensive battle 'till the 4th quarter when two of the better, young QBs in the game began slinging in all over the field. Some of the toughest running, strongest defense and sniper shots I've seen from two well-matched teams in years. Classic.

Umm we won the Super Bowl last year. How'd your squad do? :lmao: PS - the word on talk radio is that the Jags are targeted as the next LA team. Hey, hope you enjoyed football for the past 10 years. See ya! :D

Is this game being streamed anywhere? I would like to listen to it and dont want to go to a bar and spend money to do so.
