Steelers Faithful: WAVE THOSE TOWELS! (1 Viewer)

We beat you last year, and it's gonna happen again this year. Go Jags!!!
Why? Are the Steelers bringing back Tommy Maddox to start tonight?
Wait a second, he wasn't playing last year against the Jags. It was roethlisberger, wasn't it?
nope, big ben injured the week before in SD. Maddox stunk up the joint with a 39% completetion percentage and 3 picks. Believe me, that was not Ben. We all remember it too well. :hot:
Like it's anyone elses fault your back up stunk. Rosters are 53 strong, game days it 45 strong. Stop whining because your team had a bad back up already. Our back up QB went 5-1. Fred Taylor was out, Donavan Darius was out, Mike Pearson was out etc. But guess what, all the Jag back ups played well. It's called a team. Did Tommy Maddux allow Greg Jones to run for 59 yards in the first quarter? Was it Tommy Maddux that , held FWP to 55 yard and Bettis to almost nothing? The only reason that game was even close was Randle El. Yea, Tommy stunk. But your team started him and your team lost. Stop making excuses.
Umm we won the Super Bowl last year. How'd your squad do? :lmao: PS - the word on talk radio is that the Jags are targeted as the next LA team. Hey, hope you enjoyed football for the past 10 years. See ya! :D
They did pretty well tonight.Steelers 0Jaguars 9

:lmao:

Steelers fans appreciate hard nosed defense and physical football.

The Jags played a tremendous game on defense and made enough plays on offense to win the game... we've watched the Steelers win lots of games that way. The Jags earned that win.

Ben was really rusty and I'm concerned about Polamalu's shoulder - he wasn't nearly as physical or agressive as he usually is.

HUGE game next weekend.

That really was a great game! Some nice play calling tonight.

Pitt. will struggle to 7-9 this year and prove lasts year SB win was won of the worst officiating of a big game ever. Then wave bye bye to Cowher as well. I see about a 5-6 year down cycle coming for them as they have just let to many of there good players walk away over the years and it just has to come back and haunt them at some point. Too bad because I think the kid Big Ben is for real on the field. By the way they should have started Batch tonight.

We were 15-1 two years ago and won the super bowl last year. You are either an idiot or a browns fan. Actually they are one in the same.

 Maybe, just maybe, the Steelers lost to a pretty good team tonight.

C'mon dude. The haters have been waiting nearly 10 months for tonight. Don't go raining on their parade with logic.

sorry.

That dang Tommy Maddux cost the champs another game! Oh wait.. hmm...

Well Ben was rusty and Troy was not full strength, yea, that's it!!

:D

Good game steelers. I love the hard nosed football and whenever Pitt and Jax get together there's going to be some hitting. 0-0 at the half. No TDs scored. Tons of big hits from both teams. I love it.

Hopefully there'll be a rematch in the tourney. I can't watch too many Pitt/Jax games.

Some people know how to win and gloat...and lose and whineOthers know how to win and celebrate - and lose with dignity...Which one are you? Are you a lifelong Jags fan - just curious??Mr Leftwich is my #2 for a reason - and congrats to the Jags for an earned victory - hope to see you in the playoffs! You sir are using anothers loss to boost yourself - why do you have to do that?? Are you that lame? Is that ALL YOU HAVE? I'm glad you won't ever be on my team.

:pickle:

Pittsburgh's in a pickle now, starting the season off 1-2

Bengals and Ravens will fight it out for the title, while Pittsburgh fans dream about last season's glory.

Steeler fan here. Excellent game for the Jags. They were clearly the superior team tonight. I think Taylor staying healthy is the key to their success this year. If he does they are in the thick of the AFC race.

A very good team won a very good game tonight. Congrats Jags fan.

Nothing from this year will change anything from last year. The Steelers were 31-7 including playoffs in 2004-05. They were 9-2 away from home in 2005, and they were 16-2 in their past 18 road games (17-2 adding SB XL) going into tonight's game. Best 18-19 game stretch away from home in modern NFL history and possibly ever. The only think "proven" in your post is jealousy and envy of the Steelers and a serious absence of class towards their fans.

Wow! Where do you summize all of that from this post? Dude says what he thinks. It was a poorly officiated SB. The better team won. I think he is wrong in his prediction, but I cannot see where he is saying anything about the Steelers fans?

For some reason The Jerk gets really upset at people who think the officiating was horrible in last year's Superbowl.

I'm not against anything as much as I am against people who try to diminish other team's accomplishments. It may very well be that ALL IN is not jealous or envious of the Steelers. However, it's not hard to see the post aims to diminish what the Steelers have accomplished over the past two years and specifically their win in SB XL. I don't understand why it is so hard for people to acknowledge success and give credit where it's due. Frankly, I'm tired of it. Now it's the Steelers but before then it was the Patriots. Or it's Peyton Manning. So I responded. Again, I might be wrong about the jealousy and envy, but I'm right about the lack of class. I'm not being especially gracious to ALL IN, either, but just like in a game, if you take a shot, you better be prepared to get one back at you. If I'm fair game to be criticized by you and others for my comments, and I am, then I think the same applies to my comments directed back to ALL IN, i.e., they're invited by the post. It goes both ways.

And for some reason people keep bringing it up like it has any significance to this season. We have debated the calls in SB XL for the past 8 months and I don't think anyone has any new light to shed on it. Why not let it rest and discuss things that are going on right now?

Well oviously you were not watching the games in that 31-7 stretch. Personally I found the officating to be horrible, and entirely one sided on those 31 wins. The refs gave the Steelers those games.....

Try this again in English please.

Congrats to all the Jags fans. That was a great game and a nice win for your team. There's no arguing the fact that the Jags outplayed the Steelers tonight and deserved that win. Maybe we'll meet again later in the season, or then again maybe you guys will underachieve yet again. ;)

Seriously - good game!
