There's a good chance Slaton gets a decent number of carries today with Thomas being out. It will be interesting to see if he can hang on to the ball and make the most of his opportunity. The guy was a stud in Houston until he started fumbling.

What led to the fumbling. I have a feeling it could have been the neck/spinal injury he had where his hands were numb. The guy really hasn't gotten a shot to do much and he should get the ball that is ridiculous, he is a gamer and a good rb.

That is correct. He said that himself weeks back. This could be his shot to get back.

From Rotoworld. Not sure what the original source is...If there is one.

Lex Hilliard - RB - Dolphins RB Lex Hilliard is expected to have an increased role in Week 8 with Daniel Thomas (hamstring) unavailable.

Thomas will miss his third game of the season with a hamstring injury and Reggie Bush has struggled mightily inside the perimeter. While Hilliard is unlikely to out-carry Bush, his physical style makes him the favorite for redzone carries and he could be serviceable in a bye-week crunch. The Giants rank 27th against the run and allow an average of 19.3 points per game to opposing running backs this season.

Lotta traffic in front of Slaton. Doubt he's going to see much action today - can't see them throwing him in when he hasn't taken any significant 1st team reps - but it's def a potential situation to monitor if Bush gets hurt.

Couple red zone snaps for Slaton - got swarmed on his first carry, went out on a pattern the next play (third down). P.I. (opposite side) put the ball on the one, Slaton stayed in, got stuffed (wiped out by personal foul). Next play from 18 inches out he scored.

Hillard was the short yardage back on a midfield 3rd & short, picked up 4.

Slaton once again the GL back, stuffed twice before Moore walked in on a bootleg after faking to Slaton.

Slaton pushed it to the 1 yard line on his first carry. Not exactly stuffed when you gain 4 yards.

It was two yards.

1st and 10 at NYG 42 R.Bush up the middle pushed ob at NYG 7 for 35 yards (A.Rolle). PENALTY on NYG-A.Rolle, Personal Foul, 4 yards, enforced at NYG 7.

1st and 3 at NYG 3 M.Moore pass incomplete short right to L.Hilliard.

2nd and 3 at NYG 3 S.Slaton left tackle to NYG 1 for 2 yards (G.Jones, L.Joseph).

3rd and 1 at NYG 1 S.Slaton right tackle to NYG 1 for no gain (M.Boley, A.Rolle).

4th and 1 at NYG 1 M.Moore right end for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN.
On the day he now has 4 carries, 3 yards.
