Steven Jackson (1 Viewer)

Has anyone heard for certain is Steven Jackson will play this week?
Has he even practiced? I think the answer to that is no. Steven Jackson-RB- Rams Oct. 15 - 6:32 pm et Rams coach Scott Linehan said Monday that Steven Jackson only has a "very outside chance" of playing in Week 7 at Seattle.Look for rookie Brian Leonard to get another start in a much more favorable matchup than he saw in Week 6 against Baltimore. A report last week said the struggling Rams may hold Jackson out through their Week 9 bye.Source: Belleville News-Democrat

You're probably right, but this story is from two days ago.

I have gone beyond the "is he coming back" question and tried to breakdown what could possibly be in store for Sjax when he returns. Take a look at my analysis, I would appreciate some feedback - both positive and negative.

Sjax Projections

I wouldn't hold my breath that S-Jax will suit up this week. the other day there was conjecture that he might be out until Week 10 (the week after the STL bye week).

Rams update: McCollum at center; Bruce returns to practiceBy Jim ThomasST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCHWednesday, Oct. 17 2007With center Brett Romberg on the sidelines because of an ankle injury, the Ramsopened the practice week for Seattle today with Andy McCollum at center andClaude Terrell at left guard with the starting unit.Wide receivers Isaac Bruce (hamstring) and Dane Looker (thigh) were in uniformand practicing after both missed the past two games with injuries.Drew Bennett (hamstring) was in sweats and not practicing.Running back Steven Jackson, wearing the red no-contact jersey, worked duringindividual drills -- his first practice work since suffering a partially torngroin muscle Sept. 23 in Tampa Bay.But he's still a week or more away from returning to the lineup.Newly signed wide receiver Travis Taylor was on the field, wearing jersey No.18.Linebacker Raonall Smith was placed on the injured reserve list to free up aroster spot for Taylor

:lmao: Much better.

He will be out until week 10 at the minimum IMO. Also IMO, he will return, be OK at best just like he was pre-injury, then he will aggravate the tear and will be put on the shelf to avoid further damage.
