Strategy for an 8 Team League? (1 Viewer)

A friend set up an 8 team league, and I am having trouble deciding how to attack the draft with such depths of talent out there for each team.

Scoring is fairly typical but with QB's getting 6 for TD's.

I don't think I saw any strategy articles on the main site.

Anyone do a league with so few teams before and have recommendations?

David Doods' Perfect Draft (10 teams) article should be up pretty soon. In the mean time just read the 2007 version to hunker down on the basic principles.

Not really but am involved in some 10's. Every team if decently drafted will be loaded, cartoon like. I would think the one thing to keep in mind is getting the best available player according to your draft position. In other words, you could reach for a Brady/Manning or Owens/Wayne etc knowing there will be oodles of starting RB's still left to round out your backfield. This could hold true with a top D like the Chargers or Witten a bit later in the draft. Being solid at all positions would be good.
