"Suck for ______" ...... who? (1 Viewer)

So who are we looking at being taken #1-5 now in the 2013 draft? KC looks to be the top (bottom) dog now and they do need a QB.

QB's, OT's, DE's, DT's, and Te'o will make up the top 10. A CB like Banks or Millner (see Stephon Gilmore) or a WR like Allen or Williams (see Michael Floyd) will probably creep up later because they're considered premium positions, but the 10 best prospects play those other positions. Similar argument against the QB's, but I'm on board with Geno...and like every other year the cream of the QB crop rises regardless of skill throughout the Spring. Just look at Gabbert, Ponder, Weeden, etc. Oof. I think there are a lot more good dart throws on day 2 this year though, just have to see who slips and who gets vaulted up in the pre draft prcoess.Outside of what happens with CB's and WR's (weaker class, but due to need are they drafted accordingly?) I'm most interested to see how interior OL's, MIKE's, and safeties are valued. Recent safety and LB classes have been weaker, but this one looks bulkier. Curious if they slip as much as they have lately, sans Barron, Kuechly, and Berry obviously. Like last year there's a lot of quality interior OL's already on my radar, but since it's not a high demand position I wonder if they will be the late day 1/early day 2 value plays.

Lee is can't miss at WR, especially if anyone with half a QB can get their hands on him. Would be a great pick for Carolina or Cleveland for sure.
Cleveland won't take him. they already spent their 2nd rounder on a WR who seems to be working out well. They have too many other needs to go WR 1 and 2.
Lee is not draft eligible, he will be a top 5 pick in 2014.
Thanks. I was the one who was pushing for him and didn't catch that.

I would think the Lions would take any back 7 defensive help that would fall inside the top 10 picks.

Possible, but probably not the right play. Drafting for need gets you into trouble, if the Lions do that with superior talent available it tells me the front office is worried they're gone if 2013 isn't a success.I think Keenan Allen or a pass rusher makes more sense for the Lions, work on the back 7 day 2 and free agency.

I won't pretend to be an expert, by any means, and I have only followed the draft for 12 years or so. But Jadeveon Clowney might be the best prospect I have ever seen. This thread next year will be interesting. Would a team needing a QB pass on one for Clowney? Just something fun to ponder.
Kid is a stud.I'm not sure he is quite in the Julius peppers class of DE prospects, but there's no doubt he's elite.
HERE is the hit from yesterday everyone is talking about.JFC ... :lmao:

People throw the term "beast" around way too much, but we found one.

If he could come out, he's easily #1, right?

The Chiefs would almost certainly have to take him.

I could be wrong, but I thought he was staying at sc next year

To say that South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was the best player on the field today at the Outback Bowl against Michigan is accurate, but it doesn’t quite capture just how dominant a force Clowney is. So let’s put it this way: Clowney looks like he might be the best player on the field in some NFL games, too.But Clowney, who led the SEC in sacks in 2012, won’t be playing on Sundays in 2013. Instead, Clowney — who is only two years out of high school — will have to return to South Carolina for another year because of the NFL rule that requires all players to be at least three years out of high school before they can play in the league. That’s a rule that has been agreed to by the owners and the NFL Players Association, and it survived a court challenge from Maurice Clarett, so the rule isn’t going anywhere. But it’s a raw deal for players like Clowney, who has to risk an injury in his junior year before he can enter the 2014 NFL draft.Based on his on-field production at South Carolina and his stunning athleticism, it’s highly likely that Clowney would be the first overall pick of the Kansas City Chiefs if he were able to enter the 2013 NFL draft. Clowney made some jaw-dropping plays against Michigan, most notably a shocking hit and forced fumble behind the line of scrimmage on which he initially appeared to have decapitated Michigan running back Vincent Smith, but fortunately just knocked his helmet off. At 6-foot-6 and 256 pounds, Clowney already has an NFL body. And he’s already good enough to be a top overall NFL draft pick.Instead, Clowney has to risk injury for another year (and he can ask his teammate Marcus Lattimore how that can work out). Here’s hoping that Clowney stays healthy during a 2013 season in which he’ll be contending for a Heisman Trophy, instead of contending for a rookie of the year award.
