Sunday Ticket over the PS3 (1 Viewer)

Has anyone else signed up for the Sunday Ticket using the PS3? While it won't give you access on mobile devices it looks like a great alternative to those of us who don't want DirecTV for anything else.

I am thinking of cancelling my DirecTV and getting the Sunday Ticket on my PS3. Has anyone done this, and if so, has anyone run into any issues? I would hate to cancel my DTV, sign up with another cable provider, and then find out I couldn't get the Sunday Ticket on my PS3 for some reason (like you have to be a DTV customer to get it on PS3 or something). I did read you can only get it on PS3 if you can't get DTV, but that was just checking a box. Is that true?

Also, does anyone know if they are offering ST on PS3 for 2013? I know last year they released it really late...

Hey my friend had PS3 last year to watch bills games out of market (I know...) and I have to say it wasn't too great. (He did not have DTV... just FiOS and PS3)

For one thing, it wasn't really HD quality. It would fade in and out of decent quality but sometimes would be old-YouTube style quality that was clearly not great.

Also, the game would kind of stutter sometimes and after a few hours of watching would be multiple minutes behind the actual game, so stat tracker would update with "Stevie Johnson TD!" and it would kind of ruin the suspense for the rest of the drive.

I think my friend decided not to get it again this year.

FWIW, I much prefer the RedZone channel via NFL network because it only cost $49, has no commercials from 1pm to 7pm, and generally is tailor made for fantasy football.
