Sweaty pits (1 Viewer)

I'm not sure what is going on but lately I've been sweating through my undershirt and staining the pits of my work shirts. I'm not overweight and in fact have been working out 4-5 times a week. I'm going to change my antiperspirant/deodorant but not sure what to pick up.

Any advice is appreciated.

Certain Dri will definitely work. You put it on at night and wash off in the morning. When I used it, I would only use once a month or so. Don't really need it anymore. It is avail extra OTC and works like the prescription stuff.

Drysol. But you'll need a prescription (or a Canadian pharmacy).
This was actually the advice I got in the FFA many years ago when I started the same thread. Picked it up while in Canada and it worked great. I actually haven't had the issue so bad since. I guess it really cleaned out the pores.

Yep, that's how I found out about it too. I re-apply once every couple months or so. Maybe once a month during the hot summer.

I've had this problem come from out of no where, about a year ago. Tried all kinds of antiperspirants, even Certain dry didn't work that well (plus it was harsh on my skin)

So what I did was switch from Antiperspirant to deadorant. Sounds stupid but it worked - I also trimmed the hair, this helps a lot.

it takes awhile for your body to adjust to the deodorant ( ~ week ) ... but it's been a solid year of no sweaty pits, all from just the switch.

at some point I'll have to switch back to an antiperspirant I'm sure, but it will be more effective when I do.

theres plenty of info out there about this - you basically just cycle antiperspirant with plain deodorant once one or the other becomes ineffective.

worked for me. Good luck, I know the sweaty pits are a bummer.

Chicks love the smell of sweat. Don't wear any deodorant and go to work without showering after hitting the gym. Women will be ripping off their clothes (and yours) to get closer to your natural musk.

This is my answer as well.  I used Certain Dri for a while, but it didn't REALLY get fixed till I stopped using antipersperant.  That stuff just glommed up in my pits and made me hotter and self conscious, which made me sweat more.  If you're working out a lot your metabolism is revving, which should make you hot naturally.  I was in the same place.  Switched to deoderant (old spice) 10 years ago and never have sweaty pits anymore.

Another plus to switching to deodorant, is that the scent is better. You could choose the same "flavor" but the one without antiperspirant seems to always smell better.
