Swiching to different draft order (bonzai, 3RR, etc.) (1 Viewer)

We are starting a new league this year and I am the commish. We have about 4 holdovers(counting myself) from old league. I suggested switching to a 3RR and some of the owners are hesitant of change, saying"That's the way we have always done it (serpentine)".

I tried explaining to them that the 3RR lessens the advantage that the draft spots 1, 2, and 3rd draft spot have over the others and makes for a more fair draft across the board, but they're FF IQ does not let them see the point of doing the draft this new way.

Any suggestions or examples on getting them to change over?

First of all, you're the commish so go with what you want if they can't see the forrest through the trees.

They may be reluctant to change b/c thats the way some people are but once they see first hand that it is more fair then they will be onboard.

If they don't like it then tell them that next year you will switch it back.

I've done a redraft league for several years and this year I just told people that my league was going to have a new draft method - banzai. I said the short explanation for doing so was that it is more "fair", and said if they wanted the long explanation, I would point them to the FBG article on it. No one asked for the long explanation yet, but it's hard to argue with fairness.

Just flip the third round, easy as that. Everything else remains the same.1-1212-112-112-11-1212-1etc
