T.O. Being a tool...again (1 Viewer)

Is anyone else listening to this interview Irvin is doing with T.O.? What a chump!

Nahhh.

They're winning and he's getting his looks. That's a recipe for good behavior with Owens. It's during tough times that he bails and looks for attention.

I think that the best thing possible is happening for the Cowboys- Owens is dropping balls at a ridiculous pace. That's forcing him to be humble and well-behaved.

Yeah. All that's missing are the oversized shoes, yellow and red striped jumpsuit, white make-up, mop hair, red noze, pointed hat and a minature car for him and Michael Irvin to climb out of honking their horns and throwing confetti.

T.O. is a great "high point" upside pick for a death pool once he retires.

TO: It was an accidental overdose, it was nothing, don't worry about it. You're all making a big deal out of nothing.

Parcells: ....

TO: Why hasn't he asked me about it? Why doesn't he care about me?

:bag:

Don't disagree with other posters that TO is who we thought he was.

I haven't been following Dallas/TO very closely but thought things had really quietened down after the switch to Romo (winning has a way of doing that). Then ESPN goes and sticks a microphone in front of TO.

Why?

There really didn't appear to be any reason to do this interview. When you go fishing with TO, you will catch something. It's a guarantee he will say some controversial stuff.

I thought it was a bit irresponsible of ESPN to create a story where there really wasn't one.

And, of course, TO could have kept his mouth shut, but he doesn't have that mouth-filter gene, and ESPN knows it.

If TO wants to not trust anyone, it should be ESPN and Irvin. He got used in this segment for ratings.

It's cold and its lonely when you are out on your own. Tool. Sucked.Does that about sum it up?

Its amazing how Irving continues to defend this guy.
Practically the same guy.
Irvin may have been an attention whore as a player, but he was never a bad teammate and -- I think -- winning was more important than his individual stats.
:goodposting: :goodposting: Irvin may be a horrible announcer and made some really, really dumb decisions outside of the NFL, but he was NEVER a locker room cancer. Heck, I even remember some diatribe about him for the HOF saying he was moreso the locker room leader of the 3 Super Bowl teams than Aikman and Smith. Now, I take that with a grain of salt because those pieces usually use info just to point out whatever they want it to look like. Even so, the fact is that Irvin was a great teammate and never, ever tore apart teams. He was instrumental on and off the field in 3 Super Bowl victories, which I can probably say will never happen for TO.

The guy he stabbed in the neck with scissors might disagree, and if we start a new thread every time T.O is a tool we are going to run out of bandwidth.

Does anyone have access to a transcript, or even a summary of this interview?

I've been talking about it with some unfortunate Cowgirl fans today who, understandably, didn't have ESPN on after the blowout last night. I've hit the highlights, but they're dying to see everything in context.
