Tab Perry: A.Chatman is OUT, Housh didn't practice... (1 Viewer)

Tab Perry to my knowledge was #3 on the depth charts anyways however I thought Antonio Chatman would give him a run for his money. Chatman has been ruled out this week...Henry is out for 8 games, Housh didn't practice today but I am almost sure he would play if the game were held today...Chris Henry had 9 TD last season and I don't tink he even started all 16 games. The passing game in Cinci creates a lot of opps for the WR2 and WR3...how many of us had Housh and Henry in that FBG contest last season for this very reason?

Now I know Henry has a lot more talent than Perry but you have to at least look at this and wonder what might happen. Any Cinci homers? And yes I have Perry in several dynasty leagues. I will be looking for a selling opp not a buying opp.

This is the third time I've posted this blog entry in the Pool. :hophead: Perry was very erratic during the preseason games, but he's still going to be targeted frequently. And I'll be very surprised if Housh doesn't play.

What is the nature of TJ's injury? When did it happen?
This is news to me too. :2cents:
He was on the injury report today as not practicing...most players practiced today but he didn't...the official injury report comes out Friday but there is a link to another report in the SHark pool...I'll look for it.Injury report Post #4

The good MT posted this...way to go MT!

Expect Housh to play. I was dissapointed in Tab's play this preseason, but perhaps he's been shaking off some rust from the layoff from last season's injury. He's a big target and has good speed. I was pretty excited about him coming into the season. I've cooled off on him a bit, but there's really not much else to plug in at the #3 unless they suprise us with throwing Skyler Green out there. Hopefully the drops were left in the preseason.

After picking up Kevin Jones in the 11th, I secured Henry in the 13th. Could make a difference.

CBS Sportsline reporting Housh as "Questionable" for this week's game :goodposting:

I kind of like his matchup this week, actually. Hoping he'll be ready by gametime. This is the first any mention has been made of an injury to him.

Skyler had but 3 catches this preseason, all in one game.I doubt it's him

IIRC, he was not a regular participant in practice last year for much of the whole season. I am condifent he will play on Sunday.

I'm a Bengals fan. Houshmanzadeh is fine, he's just taking it easy. He will have a really nice year and I think will have a couple multi TD games, probably in the first half, but also be a steady producer each week.

As for Tab, I think he'll start slow the first week and gradually get stronger up until when Henry comes back. At that point he'll be a bit of an afterthought. For the first 8 games, I think something like 300 yards and 3 TDs is realistic but I wouldn't expect him to put up huge numbers.

I honestly feel like Henry put up his numbers not because of scheme but because he was so special he just made the most of every opportunity and the Bengals ran special plays where they would try to hit him deep because of the matchup problems he created.

Long term, I'm not completely sure what to make of Tab. I tend to think he's more of a special teams star/4th WR type even in the future, but he does have a nice size/speed combo so #3 is a possibility, especially because I think Housh is gone after 2008.

Marvin is always tightlipped about this stuff. Housh has been rested regularly during the preseason. He's had back and foot issues in recent months and this is very likely nothing more than limiting his wear-and-tear given his playing style and route responsbilities. Especially since he has an extra day to prepare.

Like David, I fully expect him in uniform.
