Where can I find precise definition of what TFL is?
I went through Jason Pierre-Paul game log from last season and I'm confused
In some cases sack is TFL and in some it isn't (for example: if fumble occurs, sack is not TFL). In some cases with split sack between two players both get TFL, only one player gets TFL or none. Also, split tackles behind LOS are confusing in similar way. Does tackle on WR also counts as TFL?
It is tough to know what was counted as TFL from game log because this is not in play description: you need to add all "potential" TFL situation and check how many TFL player had in box score. If you have more potential situations, you need to declare what is and what isn't TFL. And, of course, with next game you find out that you were wrong
