don't know how much I'd read into this article, but here it is anyway.

Adalius Thomas found himself firmly in the doghouse in New England this season, and his TIR doesn't help him get out of it. He topped all linebackers by missing 25 percent of all the solo stops he attempted on the season. He is the only linebacker to miss more than 20 percent of his solo stops and it's certainly one of the reasons that the Patriots were willing to cast him loose.
