Tamba Hali KC (1 Viewer)

Rivers rarely gets sacked, so Hali did not have the best matchup yesterday....but I was surprised to see a total blank on the stat sheet.

How does everyone feel about starting him against Cin this weekend? Is the match up favorable in general?
Cincinnati's O-line definitely had a tough time against NE. With KC having the talent to limit the running game, Rudi's injury status and Cincinatti's woes on defense (keeping the Chiefs in the game), the entire KC d-line SHOULD be good plays this week. I think the same should be true for the DB's if the game progresses similar to most Cin games. Of course, what appears to be a good matchup on paper doesn't always work out that way.

Ordinarily, no, unless you're in a tackle heavy league. I liked Hali entering last season, but his season opener against Cincinnati (and Willie Anderson) was extremely impressive and had me excited for the rest of his season.Anderson is out this week and the Bengals are planning to use Stacy Andrews at RT. There may be a rotation there, but the other principals aren't what Anderson was. Hali should be able to get something going in pass rush; he's a decent bet to take advantage.

Are you sure S. Andrews is starting? Both KFFL and Rotoworld saying S. Kooistra is starting. I know it might be a rotation like you mentioned but I am curious who is going to get the start as it affects my league.http://www.kffl.com/player/6144/nfl

It's possible that Curnutte has since edited his entries, but both those blurbs are incorrect. Marvin Lewis named Andrews the starter in his news conference yesterday afternoon. Of course, we've been down this road before with the Bengals.LINK

Stacy Andrews, who started the first three games this season at left guard, will start in Anderson's place.

"We thought he was our best option there in the long run for one, two games - whatever it may be," Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said Wednesday when asked why Andrews gets the nod ahead of Scott Kooistra.

Either guy provides a good matchup for Hali.

As initially reported by Jene... Andrews is starting. If you need more evidence, the following is from Rotoworld:

Bengals C Eric Ghiaciuc (neck, thumb) will return to the starting lineup this week.

The Bengals will have their entire line intact, save for RT Willie Anderson. Stacy Andrews, a highly regarded prospect, will sub at right tackle. LT Levi Jones has reclaimed his starting role. It's good news for Cincy's offense.

Do we have confirmation of the starting LT for the Bengals today?? There have obviously been conflicting reports. Mark Curnutte of the Cincinnati Enquirer is stating that Kooistra will be the starter.

I think Mark looked at the depth chart initially, but Marvin has since said that Stacy Andrews will start. Both are likely to play. Neither is a clearly better pass blocker than the other.

Thanks, Jene. Marvin > Mark
