Tampa Bay Adds WR Antonio Bryant (1 Viewer)

I hope this isn't like the David Boston project...
It isn't.David Boston = no talent and headcase

Antonio Bryant = headcase

However, both = drugy
Have to disagree with you there. David Boston is a lot of things but I would not put him under the no talent category. He had plenty of talent, just didn't know what to do with it.
:lmao: that might be JohnnyU's worst post ever. WRs don't get over 1100 and 1500 yards, in their 2nd and 3rd seasons (all-pro), without having talent.

Bryant did exceed 1,000 yards once.

Im sure steroids and /or other drugs had something to do with ruining his body, thus depriving him of his talent. You are right, he did have talent, but he lost it quick IMO.

IIRC, he ended up building up so much bulk that he lost agility and became a walking injury time-bomb.

You are correct, he did have talent, but drugs robbed him of it. I edited my post to indicate "post drugs". I think we underestimate how much of an effect drugs have on an athlete's body.

Can we talk about Bryant?

What were the terms? Was this a cheap signing that'll eventually lead to him being cut or is there a chance he can still play?

Bryant was a talented WR. He was also an idiot. If the former is still true maybe the latter can finally change?

I doubt it too but I'd love to hear the details of the deal...

Last season down? He was tearing it up, until he got busted for HGH and the team dumped him. He never was a "no talent" player, and he's not now.Bryant is a great talent, former Biletnikof recipient, but never seems to have the discipline or work ethic to succeed.

Very telling that the Bucs signed Antonio Bryant and Warrick Dunn consecutively...

...it stands to reason that if you're going to try and get the most out of a Baby, you'd better bring a BabySitter along for the ride.

Now, I'm from the camp that says that Warrick Dunn has plenty left as an NFL RB which was reason enough to bring him on board, but whether you believe that or not, there's NO denying that he's got the quality of character to help the team find a way to get through Bryant's thick skull and tap the enormous potential the kid has...

...a dedicated Bryant lining up across the field from a healthy Galloway certainly has enough potential that it's worth taking a flyer in March. Plenty of time to figure out if Bryant (and Ben Troupe, for that matter), have anything to offer. In what remains, in my opinion, the wide-open NFC, gambles like these are well worth the risk.

Pulling for the kid, and his 10-cent head. Hope it works out this time around.

No you dont have to grow organically thrrough the draft, because of the power of free agency, but teams like SD, GB and MINN are sure doing a good job of it.I am now more convinced than ever that Gruden and Allen will never see hte second round of the playoffs by continually reaching on players that cause a distraction. And Antonio Bryant is just DBoston 2, a guy on his third or fourth chance that will blow it again. Dunn is an ok signing, yet a talented player that nobody else really wants due to age and mileage. yea, go Bucs

Pretty good situation for Bryant. If he's in shape, I'd like to think he could push Ike Hilliard and Michael Clayton out of the way. But the guy has never had the motivation, probably hitting the bong harder than hitting the weights. Hopefully he wakes up, I would take a flyer in dynasty leagues
