It doesn't sound like they want to pay him what he believes he's worth.I'm not sure who they'd use of those currently on the roster. If they keep Black and Hayes outside and put someone currently on the roster at MLB, it's highly unlikely that player will be an every-down linebacker. This free agency period, if and when we get to it, could be very interesting. There are lots of free agent linebackers and one signing could set off a domino effect across the league. I'd think that linebacker would be a priority in the draft with Ruud's status an unknown, but there are lots of holes at every level of the TB defense that could be addressed.

Thanks, that FA LB falling could be interesting. Green By could release Barnett(haven't heard anything though) but he's been hurt a lot.
