TE Rob Gronkowski (6 Viewers)

Now I guess the question is how much will he play and how effective will he be?
This is pure speculation, but given all the talk about how he looked in practice, I'm not too concerned.

TEs tend to hurt the Jets....Heath Miller had 6/84, Tony Gonzo had 10/97 and looked dominant, Scott Chandler had 5/79/1, and Delanie Walker had a TD as well.

Gronk had 6/78/2 against NYJ last season .... 8/113/2 and 4/31 the year before

@AdamSchefter: Drew Rosenhaus said, "Rob Gronkowski has now been cleared by all his doctors to play Sunday in the Jets game."

:excited:
Happy Friday!
GET THE #### OUT!

As said by others ill believe it when I see it Sunday but of we get confrontations from all parties including gronk that's he's been formally cleared including by Andrews then we might have something here.

As to how he will be Sunday, if he's really been a practice animal I'd assume (probably wrongly so) that there is a lesser chance of him being eased into play, but must have some concern about that.

Gronkowski gets clearance to play against the Jets

APOn Thursday, agent Drew Rosenhaus told WQAM radio in Miami that Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski still had not been cleared to play on Sunday against the Jets.

On Friday, Rosenhaus told PFT that the clearance has arrived.

“Rob has now been cleared by all his doctors to play Sunday in the Jets game,” Rosenhaus said via text message.

Those doctors include Dr. James Andrews, who recently was added to the team of doctors.

Gronkowski has been sidelined by lingering forearm problems. Though he had back surgery in June, concerns about the forearm had been delaying his clearance to play.

Clearance to play doesn’t automatically mean he’ll play. Coach Bill Belichick has to decide to use him.

If Gronkowski is cleared and if he has been as good in practice as reports have indicated, it’s hard to imagine the Patriots not using him.

Excellent news... Everyone rolling with him? I've got Julius Thomas, but I could put Gronk in the flex...

Anyone worried he is limited or anything along those lines?? (Assuming he plays)

Not sure who your other options are in flex but I have him starting ahead of LeVon Bell, Amendola and Edelman.

The decision for me comes down to (2 out of these 3) Orange Julius, Gronk or Eddie Lacy in a PPR league - I'm just a little nervous they ease Gronk back in...

To predict 100 and a TD or multiple TDs, or whatever the lofty expectations we all have for Gronk in his first game back feel a little aggressive... Then again, he is Gronk.

If Gronk is playing, he's in my line-up. I'll take the chance of a score or two or three from the guy over the likes of pretty much anybody else on my bench.

WOO HOO!

I felt like a man whose wife has been in labor for the longest time. Just waiting, waiting, anxiously waiting. Until, finally, the doctor looks at me and says, "Congratulations sir. It's a Gronk."

:excited:

Benching him for Bennett in one league and Gates in another. I'll start him next week though.

ETA: Scratch that, I'll play him over Bennett.

Dodds still has Gronk as the #3 TE going forward.

Would you Gronk owners not trade him for Gonzalez, Witten, Gates, Cameron ?????
I would in a second... Gronk has no value except dynasty imo.
Every comment out of this guy has been negative for the last 2 weeks... I.E. "injured reserve, useless, trade him, etc..."

Been waiting to bump this :)

well seeing he hasn't played all year and has very limited practice I wouldn't expect a huge game... marginal at best but Im glad he will be back out there Fn finally!

Told you the whole time that he will be back once team gronk made their "better put him on the puplist" point
but like the other posters were saying, if you go on PUP list you can't practice.... I dont' think Gronk is upset or trying to prove a point about a ####in pup list you kidding??? had he went on pup list he would be fresh cleared to play and have no practice or nothing... this was all planned all along dummy.

bump it after he has a big day. I have the guy on my team so I want nothing more then for him to succeed but the news the past two weeks was discouraging to say the least and have seen other guys go from where he was at to ir quicker.... hopefully he is ready to roll and we can get the TE1 status we all know he is out of him.

It's Gronk, so who knows.

But yes, I mean confirmations.
