I doubt you'll be upset with McBride, especially as he's the only top TE who stayed healthy, but yeah, Warren looked like the guy he did in college. Most team will cover the perimeter better than Miami, so this is likely nowhere near Warren's ceiling. This one burns as I wanted him so bad, but took McBride in the 3rd. What a mistake. I could have had a second WR or a RB there and taken Warren in the 6th instead.
Was thinking the bold as well. While it may be jumping the gun, I don’t see a reason to carry a mediocre TE (Ferguson in my case) if I’m going to just roll with Warren on a weekly basis. Can always pick up someone on waivers for Warren’s bye or if he gets hurt.Warren should already be considered a must-start fantasy tight end. Anyone who drafted Warren and another tight end in case Warren didn’t work out can cut or trade that other tight end for a player at a different position.
I would but then pitts had 8 targets so ill hold for now.Was thinking the bold as well. They are different styles of TE. Loveland is a separator and seam stretcher, and Warren is a manufactured touch RAC guy.Chicago's offense will be better under Johnson, but I don't understand passing on Warren. It's just one game, but I'd like to know the thought process behind taking Loveland.
Does Johnson have full autonomy over personnel or was this a Poles pick?
I hear ya. It just seems like Warren would be a lot more of a force multiplier, opening up things for the other skill players. They are different styles of TE. I think the talent levels were pretty similar overall, I preferred Warren, but I don't think its egregious. I think they'll both be pretty good. Loveland is also 2 years younger.
Currently DJM is in that 'manufactured touch RAC' role and he's pretty good at it. Loveland fits the current roster better, although with Kmet there, taking a TE was a head scratcher IMO.I hear ya. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Burden pick, either. I'm curious how productive those two will be under Johnson.
I'm rostering McBride and Warren, who were both good values where I drafted them. This is what I wanted to see happen. Major trade value. This one burns as I wanted him so bad, but took McBride in the 3rd. What a mistake. I could have had a second WR or a RB there and taken Warren in the 6th instead.

The Colts may make Tyler Warren the "focal point of their team’s passing offense" with Patrick Surtain II matched up against Michael Pittman Jr. on Sunday, per @RomeovilleKid![]()

Nope but it's a Wednesday so I am not sweating it yetDNP today with a toe injury. Can’t say I like this.
Agree but now I have to make plans to potentially burn another roster spot for another TE.Nope but it's a Wednesday so I am not sweating it yetDNP today with a toe injury. Can’t say I like this.

Good news: I watched every play of the last two IND drives and didn’t see any specific plays where Tyler Warren could have injured a toe. He was in on every single play. He was only slightly favoring his right foot on a few plays.
It’s probably nothing.

Good news for Tyler Warren, who’s dealing with a toe injury, likely very mild turf toe, is back to practicing today.
He will likely play in Week 3 with a carbon fiber insert.
Video coming soon.
i don't see any reason that he can't be as good as BowersI sure wish I had Warren. People saying he's close to Bowers as a prospect are out to lunch imo, but he's a damn good player. It's kindof cool seeing rookie TEs producing sooner and sooner vs. years ago.
I am hoping Fannin can be a Warren-lite.
I would second that. They are different types of TE, but quality of player, they could easily be equals.i don't see any reason that he can't be as good as BowersI sure wish I had Warren. Officially limited today but doesn’t sound too alarming based on reports like these.Jesse Morse, M.D.

#Colts WRs coach Reggie Wayne on the arrival of TE Tyler Warren:
“It kind of somewhat reminds me of when I was playing. It was me and (Marvin Harrison Sr.) on the outside … and then all of a sudden we draft a first-round TE, (Dallas Clark). … It made us a better offense.”
Stephen Holder
Colts TE Tyler Warren (toe) is listed as questionable for Sunday, but the sense is that he WILL play. Practiced (with limitations) on Thursday and Friday.
Only other player in question is CB Charvarius Ward (concussion), but he should be available barring a setback.
He scored 12 TDs last year in Penn State. He's still a rookie and developing. His usage in week 3 won't be all he is able to do all year long.Seems to be a "between the 20s" sort of weapon...

Fair but I think that's also what I am saying. The coaches are likely to add more to his plate as the season goes on.He scored 12 TDs last year in Penn State. He's still a rookie and developing. I was referring to his usage in the first three weeks. He's been able to do whatever they want him to do so far, so it's on the coaching.
True and at some point maybe teams will figure out how to not let Jonathan Taylor eviscerate them.Plus the Colts are 3-0 with two pretty lop-sided. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they haven't really had to play from behind at all. The offense has been pretty balanced. I have to imagine they're going to be facing more need-to-throw situations.

I do get what you're saying. I just think as the season goes on, it's likely they vary the play calling more including dialing stuff up to him.Fair but I think that's also what I am saying. I'm not saying you're wrong. But the times I've seen them in the red zone, he's not part of the plan. That seems to be more play calling than him not having things on his plate, if you take my meaning.

Tyler Warren is playing 83% of the snaps. He’s 4th among all TEs in targets. And he got two goal-line carries yesterday.
Ari Meirov
I have no idea why Tyler Warren lasted to No. 14 in the NFL Draft.
Destin Adams
The NFL has decided they are going to penalize Tyler Warren anytime he is stronger than a DB
Noah Compton
Tyler Warren is too dangerous. The league is conspiring against him for he threatens history books. These are jokes, but the officiating against him has been bizarre as of late.
Feels surreal that the Colts have one of the best tight ends in the league.
They were being the BearsYeah, he is a sure thing. Should have gone top 10. Not sure what the Bears we’re doing passing him for Loveland.
