TE vs WR Trade? (2 Viewers)

Would you trade Pitts for Ridley in a SF Dynasty that gives slightly higher bonuses to TE's (must start 1)? I currently roster Loveland and M. Taylor also.

If Pitts does well, I get 2 years out of Ridley and then the trade does not age well imo. If Pitts does his usual, I traded him for 2 years of a 1k yard receiver and I love the deal. Pitts likely starts for me, Ridley wouldn't.

Is your roster built to win now? Or rebuilding?

Ridley as a bench player, who are your starters at WR and FLEX?

If you want to get Ridley, he might get off to a slow start, against Denver week 1 he'll have Surtain, with a rookie QB in his first regular season start. Meanwhile, Pitts could start strong with Mooney being injured right now, maybe Pitts sees more volume from Penix to start the year. If you wait, can you get Ridley, plus a pick?

The age difference is the biggest hurdle, but Ridley doesn't have as much wear on his body as other 30 year olds, he missed close to two seasons. He's really only played one more season than Pitts, which is crazy to think about given a six year age difference.

But unless you're a contender and Ridley helps put you over the top, I think I would be trying to sell the other team on Pitts potential upside, and get a pick back as part of the deal to offset the youth you're giving up with Pitts. Might be tough to get the sweetener, because I do think it's a relatively fair trade as is. Who does the other roster have at TE before the Pitts deal? That might affect some of your leverage too

If Pitts is a starter in a TE premium league and Ridley would be bench depth then I think you answered your own question. Keep Pitts.

I am down on Mr Stinky PItts. What has he done in 4 years? Disappoint. See if you can get someone younger than Ridley, because he won't be a starter on your team, why lose a starter?
