They have already indicated that Hester will have a diminished role and focus more on returning.

Bennett and Knox had their first major(if any) NFL action last year...so they will see decreased numbers.

Matt Forte will not only see his carries but his reception totals cut in almost half b/c of a 30 year old RB who has seen 144 carries only 3 times in his 8 year career???

The Bears are a mess to try and predict right now. We dont even know who the starting WRs will be and what TEs will even make the roster. I'm pretty sure they wont carry 4 TEs. Dez Clark is a better fit, but the Bears have more invested in Olsen.

I like Knox and Aromashodu to grab the starting spots. Both should finish with around 60recs.

RBs are going to be very hard to figure out. Forte will probably on get about 180-200 carries. Chester grabbing another 100-125. Wolfe should just be a special team player. I see no reason for him to get more than 5-10 carries this year. He just isn't a good running back.

And Cutler will have at least 20 ints.

MT - has a Mike Martz offense ever thrown that many passes to the Tight Ends?

Those reception numbers seem awfully high to me, and yes I realize that Olsen is probably a better receiver than the TE the Rams had, but if there aren't enough targets schemed in for him, it won't matter.....and of course there were several rumors that they were trying to trade him.

I think there's a very good chance that Jay Cutler throws for 4,000 yards this season. Martz's offenses have been very successful in Year 1. He'll still probably throw for about 20 INT, but I do expect a drop-off from the 26 INT he threw last season.Armomashadu is being seen at the team's #1 WR - I think it's likely that he finishes between 70 and 80 catches with several guys in the 45-55 range (Hester, Knox, Benntt). Iglesias has been making strides this off-season as well, but he is no better than #4 on the depth chart.

Olsen probably won't catch 57 passes in the Martz system - he'll still be used, but he's got to become a better blocker. My guess - 40 catches maximum.

Agree that we should see a split in carries between Taylor and Forte - think both could rush for anywhere from about 600-800 yards.

I'll say up front that I have made insufficient adjustments based on Mike Martz's arrival. That's something I do more toward the later stages of my projections, and this is still just a first draft.

Add in Mike Furrey because the 'offensive' genius will want him.

These are Jay's touchdown numbers over his first three full seasons as a starter: 20, 25, 27...

You are anticipating that his touchdown numbers are going to regress to the numbers he had at the age of 24.

These are Jay's passing yardage numbers over his first three full seasons as a starter: 3497, 4526, 3666...

You are anticipating that his yardage numbers are going to be the worst of his career.

In that flaccid offense the Bears had last year, he had 27 touchdown passes, good for eighth in the league. Do you think that was primarily attributable to Ron Turner's genius or Devin Hester's precise route-running? Maybe it was Cutler...

Vandy fan getting fired up!!

Cutler should approach 4k this year. Will be tough since they did nothing to address the league's worst receiving corps, but we'll see. Aromoshadu is not going to be anything too special, but he may look special by comparison. I really don't see how we don't address that during free agency when top-flight receivers were going for songs. I think your projections there are right on. Maybe bump Knox a bit.

Running game I think is going to slide to CT as the season wears on. Forte has Anthony Thomas written all over him. I don't see Garrett Wolfe involved in anything but special teams.

Cutler should approach 4k yards? He has as good a chance as anyone to lead the league in yardage. If he plays 16 games, he's a dead lock to go 4k+.
