Teams that are getting the #1 Rookie Pick next yr.. Holding or Selling (1 Viewer)

IMO; after following a couple of drafts in the past... I only see the 1st 3 too 4 rookie picks as worth holding... the others just seem like long shots and I personally rather sell the picks; even if I don't get a "market" value.. I just rather own a proven player who can give him some production. But thats just my opinion.

So Teams that are receiving picks 1 - 4... whats are your plans this off-season, you selling or holding? going to wait for the NFL draft 1st?

And if you considering trading a pick high, what would it take to get it?

After the success of Bush (say what you want, but hes was been top 10 RB last yr and looks to be again; he turned into a top 5 pick in start ups) and ADP (you can probably talk me into drafting him #1 or #2 in a start-up next season)... I'm sure no one is going to trade #1 unless a top 5 RB is involved.

Holding. Will wait till after the combine to trade the pick. Just unsure of McFadden as of right now. Or at least not as sure with him as I was with ADP. There was no chance that I was going to trade that pick away once I got it.

After Adrian Peterson did what he did this year I'm guessing that the 1.01 pick (and the prospects of Darren McFadden) will cause that pick to go for much more than it probably should. IF I owned that pick I'd be looking to sell after the combine when the hype is in full swing, but would sell now if somebody has to have the next big thing.

Picks 2-4 I'd stand pat on until the rookie players are hyped more. Their value right now probably isn't high enough to part with.

Thats what I'm thinking too... People saw ADP becoming an instant STUD after gaining 500+ yds in 2 games; and DMac already has so much hype behind him. However, if you look at the success of Bush and Peterson... both those guys were draft on good teams. Bush is on a pass happy team which was a good suited him and Peterson is running behind the best Run Blockers in the league which allows him to full display his talent. You got figure that DMac will be a top 2 - 5 pick in the NFL (I don't think Miami will take him)... out of those 5 teams; only the Jets and Falcons really need an RB.. and those teams really aren't that bad if Atl gets a decent QB back there... all the other teams have young studs for RBs. The wild card is NE owning and trading that SF pick... if a decent team coughs up to NE demands; then DMac could land in a very good situation. And as pointed out before; the best time to sell a pick like thisis around the NFL draft time or a week before your draft... when the Hype is at a crazy level.
