I have a hard time attributing the play of the Bronco defense
This still blows my mind. The Broncos defense was 22nd in the NFL in scoring defense after Tebow took over. That's not good. The Patriots' defense, which New England supposedly won "in spite of" was 15th. Yet the Broncos won because of their 22nd ranked defense?
In the 7 wins under Tebow the Bronco defense allowed: 15, 24, 10, 13, 13, 32, 10 or 16.7 points per game. Which would have been good for 4th in the NFL.
LOL, so only wins count now, and only for the Broncos? I would imagine that 16.7 would no longer be 4th if you were only counting points allowed only in wins for the other teams as well.Just for fun, counting wins only and picking a few teams randomly...Jaguars: 10.2 ppgSteelers: 11.0 ppgChiefs: 11.5 ppgDolphins: 12.3 ppgBrowns: 12 ppgRams: 16.5 ppgChargers: 17 ppgBills: 17 ppgPatriots: 18 ppgRaiders: 19 ppgNewsflash, 16.7 ppg isn't anything particularly impressive when taking only wins into account. It's probably somewhere in the 15-20 range overall.Ugh, this is why even though I sit pretty much in the middle of the endless Tebow debate (I don't think he's particularly good but I don't think he's hideously awful either), I always end up arguing in favor of the pro-Tebow side. At least the pro-Tebow side keeps their ridiculous arguments under control with just the main "he has the heart of a winner" schtick. The anti-Tebow side shows no shame in inventing random nonsense and making ridiculous and often completely untrue points.
You keep changing the argument. We were discussing how Tim's leadership helped the Broncos win games. If you would like to explain how Tim's leadership helped the Broncos lose games then by all means, have at it. But otherwise focusing on only Broncos wins seems reasonable.

:potkettle: "We were discussing how Tim's leadership helped the Broncos win games..." - and yet both your quotes were about the defense. Your logic is as weak as your argument. Just stop while you're a behind.

Jaguars: 10.2 ppg

Steelers: 11.0 ppg

Chiefs: 11.5 ppg

Dolphins: 12.3 ppg

Browns: 12 ppg

Rams: 16.5 ppg

Chargers: 17 ppg

Bills: 17 ppg

Patriots: 18 ppg

Raiders: 19 ppg

Newsflash, 16.7 ppg isn't anything particularly impressive when taking only wins into account. It's probably somewhere in the 15-20 range overall.

Which is exactly my point. It does not make sense. Unless I am misunderstanding you, you are calling my logic and argument weak and then agreeing with me.

In 42 years of existence, The NY Jets have won the AFC East twice. :lmao:
The Jets were pretty disastrous for many years, but in the last 15 seasons, they have only had 3 losing seasons. It must be nice when the majority of your life your team is considered a perennial playoff team and they win* a few Super Bowls. Dolphins fans used to be pretty smug, but look at them now after these past ten years (no offense to the Miami faithful, especially to those that have stuck with the team through hard times). I remember how crappy the Pats were before Parcells. Unless you think the Pats will will be like the Steelers, they will probably go through rough times again. Enjoy it while it lasts.
