Ted Ginn (1 Viewer)

I would assume this translates into my playing time on offense...

Dolphins | Ginn will only return punts

Sat, 18 Aug 2007 08:16:10 -0700

Andy Kent, of MiamiDolphins.com, reports Miami Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron said Dolphins WR Ted Ginn Jr. will no longer return kickoffs so he can focus on returning punts.

B-U-S-T

There are 1/2 dozen WR's drafted after him that are better (I also don't like Meachem, Bowe or C. Davis). Taking Ginn at 9 was the worst blunder in the draft this year.

All these guys were better picks and will most likely outperform Ginn over their careers.

Sidney Rice neither team has a legitimate starting QB but Rice is a better WR.

Laurent Robinson

Mike Walker

Johnnie Lee Higgins same size same speed better WR.

James Jones looking good in GB.

Jacoby Jones and his tiny hands are looking good.

Ginn is a playmaker. If he can polish his WR skills he can easily find his self in a ProBowl or two as a wide receiver.
Lhucks, not sure if you saw any MIA preseason games, but I watched a bit and Ginn pulled in some sweet catches and showed incredible ability catching on the sidelines.

But can anyone offer some projections? Do we see 5 Tds over the remainder of the season? Is he worth a spot in 12 or 14 team leagues?

I think Ginn is certainly capable of producing WR3/WR4 numbers at a minimum for the second half of the season. You have to think he's going to get first crack at the starting WR spot opposite Booker considering both the high pick they used on him in the draft and the pretty much lost cause that this season has become (otherwise, why trade Chambers?).I think 5 TD's in half of a season is too high, but I wouldn't be shocked to see 3-4 - point is I think Ginn is going to get plenty of balls thrown his way over the second half of the season so the Dolphins can see exactly what they have in him.

I haven't been keeping my eye on him so my question is simply this: Is he healthy? Is he 100%? Is he showing that burst and top speed I saw at OU? Is he cutting hard? Ok so that's multiple questions but you get the idea.

Yeah, been looking decent. Took a kick back for a td this weekend that was called back on a penalty, and had a nice 32 yd reception. Don't know if he's going to get a huge amount of targets any given week, and Beck is probably going to play sooner or later, so he's probably going to be up and down at best. But it wouldn't be shocking if he broke off some big plays down the stretch.Kickoff return here...looked pretty good. http://youtube.com/watch?v=l7gOtrFr2Uw

Thanks JBTV!

Per Rotoworld, Ginn is starting alongside Booker today. The future is now.
1 catch for a starter???? Granted it went for a TD, but if a starter only has a 1 catch day that is pathetic regardless of how bad the offense is. Fins have been behind in most games so you'd think they'd be throwing the ball up alot and playing against some softer D's later in the game for the receivers and QB to get some junk yardage. I'll give Ginn the benefit of the doubt that the game last weekend had alot of players in disarray because it was in England, sloppy conditions and such. But if there are 2-3 more games where he is starting opposite Booker and only gets 3 or less catches in each game, I seriously doubt he's got stud potential down the road (top 10 WR potential in a few years). He's fairly small....future slot receiver is looking more likely than #1 WR in a few years. Just my opinion from 1st 1/2 rookie season analysis. Here's my analysis/odds on Ginn in 3 years:<10% chance to be a top 10 stud WR in 3 years - Exceeds/meets rookie draft pick #10 expectations20% chance to be a journeyman #2 WR....hovers around the top 20-30 WR's40% chance to be a slot/#3 WR and decent kick returner20% chance @ #4 or deeper rostered WR/return man - BUST10% chance out of NFL entirely - BUSTFrom a fantasy perspective, to me it looks less likely that I'd have any interest in hanging onto him (only 30% chance he can be a stud or a backup WR on my roster...but 70% chance he would be a crappy backup).Just my opinion and analysis 1/2 way into the season.
