Getting this thread ready to rock 'n roll. Don't know how much we can contribute to it during the event, but if I can I will.

255 Christmas Presents in April coming soon.

I love it Jeff, I can't wait until this gets crazy.....

We'll also have a dedicated IDP thread all weekend to discuss the defensive players as they come off the board. It'll be IDP based but will have plenty of in-depth football talk -- discussion of talent, how each player fits and their impact on their team's depth charts (immediate and future). All fans of defensive football welcome.

NFL Network is crushing ESPN's NFL coverage. The Draft is no different. Trust Mayock, he's actually at all these events (senior bowl, combine).

MM had an interesting take on the QB situation, w/the top 3 teams all in need, plus a couple more a few spots backhe said the early line had QB's going 33-35, if they were avoided in round 1, but now predicts a couple of those teams looking to get into the 28-32 range to go QB, meaning as many as 4-1st round QB's...I never would have guessed 4, but it makes perfect sence---

this from the guy that said Arron Rogers would have a long wait draft day...I'm thinking trust his QB "intuition"

t-minus 2 hours to first pick....let'er rip!

You have to take the NFL Network over ESPN. Only a ####### can stand watching Chris Berman for more than 5 hours. And I like Mel Kiper

Although seeing Jessie Palmer as one of the analysts for pre draft does leave me a little

Can't be worse than Keyshawn. :wall:

Raiders going Russell

Lions going Calvin Johnson for another WR That will bring an interesting reaction

Browns going for Joe Thomas.

Apparently Cleveland thinks that Charlie Frye is the future. :own3d:

...and the present. They'll be back in the Top 5 next season if they're thinking that.

Or they'll grab Trent Edwards in the second. That's what I'd consider doing if I were Oakland - trade down a little, grab Thomas and then pick up your QB in the second.

Just what Cleveland needs, a developmental QB to back up the former developmental QB.They're stupid for not taking Quinn. He'll start and produce right away plus he went to (relatively) nearby Notre Dame. Instead, they'll take an offensive tackle who'd rather be fishing now.

:)

So what are you guys wearing, ESPN keeps showing the crowd. ESPN is on mute. NFL Network streaming on laptop.

Looks like the place is packed huh? Who have you met so far? Heard Michael Vick is there. I'm "working" on my laptop for the next few hours. :)

Go Bears! Time to set the table for next year, huh?

Not really defending Millen, but he's not that bad. He did get us ROY and Keven Jones, that draft was a very good one. Mel Kiper Jr. had Mike Williams as #1 on his receiver board last year...does this mean Mel sucks? (Well...maybe he does heh) Charles Rogers and Joey Harrington were no-brainers at the time they were drafted. None of the experts questioned those picks at all and in fact they even applauded them.

I think we have a good draft this year. Go Lions!

:) :) :goodposting: :goodposting: :goodposting:

We are on the far right in the 5th row on the left wide of the row. Faletti is wearing a beige shirt and tie, pasq a navy shirt, bloom a white ####e and dark green tie.

The NFL Draft Guys blog is up and running. Just posted a brief commentary on the Va Tech Presser. I'll upload the full interview later.

I like the move to go Joe Thomas by Cleveland, if they do. He's a beast. I like that he went fishing with his father. Handles pressure pretty good I would say. Their offensive line has been decimated by injuries the past few years. IMO They need offensive line help. It wasn't like they were running over people rushing the ball either. Definetely couldn't hurt..

Ties?!?What a bunch o' suckups. :)

just a reminder folks, we'll be trying to post here, but the blog is the best place to find our up to the minute news and thoughts.

New York fans booing Michael vick during a Virginia Tech tribute just paints a perfect picture of New Yorkers does it.

Bruce is huge.
Hes a baaaaad man! There was a rumor Bruce Smith sold his soul to the devil for his unparalleled football ability. Shortly after the transaction was finalized, Bruce piledrove the devil to the ground and took his soul back. The devil, who appreciates irony, couldn't stay mad and admitted he should have seen it coming. They now play poker every second Wednesday of the month.

Trust me, I have no problem with him going fishing with his father. But, while Joe Thomas will be a fine NFL tackle, he's not a Pace/Ogden/W. Jones type in that he's a game-changing LT. Quinn, meanwhile, is has pretty much everything a team would need in their QB to get a franchise back on the winning track. I agree they need defensive help, but unless they trade down, any defensive player at #3 is probably a big reach.

Yeah because the Falcons have the most fans at this draft. The Giants and jets fans dominate the other teams at that draft.

Does anyone think the Raiders will take someone other than Russell? Personally, I'd like to see them pull something of here to stir things up a bit. Surprises are fun!
