If those were professional goalies, why are soccer games so low scoring?
Teams don't get to take 40 penalty kicks per game.
But goalies will still let a ball casually roll in if it's 5 feet away?
The clips they showed of the blondes made goals, it was pretty obvious the guy was just letting them by. He just stood there and let the ball go by at a slow pace where one or two steps to the left he could have stopped it. In fairness if you just kick it hard at the corners of the net, how much time is it really between taking 40 and 100 penalty shots? I don't think the true time difference would have been that great. Although that's assuming someone could put pace on the ball.

They know their limits, too. If he commits right and it goes to the left corner, even if he corrects he knows he's not going to get there in time even if he dives. So he just watches it roll by knowing it's out of reach anyway.

Travesty we don't have the Afghanimals or Cowboys.

My wife was even upset by the blondes getting the free passes from the goalie.

She said, "Although...I guess one of them could just flash the goalie and it'll be an easy goal everytime."

She's got a point.

For those of who hate that AR is constantly delayed because of sports, good news, it's moving to Friday nights in the fall.

The CSI franchise — which includes the new spinoff CSI: Cyber — moves to Sundays after The Good Wife, and The Big Bang Theory will start off the season on Mondays to help launch fall, according to CBS’ new schedule released today.

NFL Football will debut on Thursdays this fall with a total of eight games. Afterwards, the Eye’s winning comedy lineup will return Oct. 30, which includes TBBT at 8. The Amazing Race moves to Fridays.

And this will be the final season of Two and A Half Men. A “season-long event” is planned for the Chuck Lorre comedy.

There have not been a lot of examples in TV history where "moving to Friday nights" and "good news" were coupled :)

For many years moving to Friday nights was the last step to cancellation.

Luckily I think the AR TV ratings are still pretty good and I don't know if the Friday stigma still is around.

NBC has been having some success on Friday Nights with Grimm and Hannibal. I think with DVrs in high use now, friday night shows may slowly return.

I think DVR's help mitigate the negative effects of certain less watched nights. I rarely watch a show on the same night it is actually on.

This is one of the worst final legs ever.
Agreed. More about cabs than anything else. Counting light bulbs and finding a sign while in a helicopter were essentially the challenges.

On a side note, I wasn't looking but at the end I thought I had seen Mallory but not Mark. Did anyone see him at the final mat amongst the other teams?

This is one of the worst final legs ever.
Seriously. Where is the ridiculously long geography puzzle challenge?
Worst ending ever. They won because their cab passed the girls at the end? What a freaking joke.

This leg had nothing in it, absolutely nothing to separate anyone. They literally made this leg all about who had the best cab, which easily makes it the worst final leg ever. No other leg comes even close.

I wonder if they were trying to make it a close finish and didn't realize that with no challenges the cab drivers would win the race and that would make it so boring it makes you want to not waste your time on the next season.

I believe there was a brief shot of Mark but definitely not near Mallory.
OK, thanks. I wasn't looking for him specifically but as they were winding down I noticed several shots of her but none of him. I could remember seeing everyone else.
I just paused it at the end. They are both there but not standing together.
You sure? I thought it was the youtube kid, must have missed him in another shot.

Best part by far, other than the joy at watching Rachel repeatedly screw up, was David Copperfield's "I wrote that!"

Pretty sure but the shot is out a little so they can get everyone in. The YouTube people don't have blond hair ether.

I'm fine with it. Brenchel lost.
:goodposting: was about to post the exact same thing.. For a Final leg it lacked quite a bit compared to other seasons, but having those two come in 3rd made up for it. : :)

you can hear his voice during the skydive wondering who it was.
You can ID him apart from the other white dudes by his voice?

Pretty sure he's not on the mat in the final shot. Watched it again last night and couldn't see him anywhere.

I didnt know the other dude from Kentucky was there. I just assumed Mark would be the only one, since the white guy didn't race.

He's right behind Phil and the winners.

Oh, wait, Mark. I thought we were looking for Bopper. As in, did he end up getting treatment and was he OK? I don't know if the show ever addressed that.

If someone points to a white guy and a black guy and tells me to guess which dude is named Mark and which one Bopper, I am guessing wrong 100% of the time.

Mark was standing in the middle of the people going crazy over the winner (especially the Twinsies who were going nuts), completely still and emotionless. It was weird.

Agreed. I like the 1 hour finale and I'm sure they got some crap for having such long finales in the past but there was absolutely nothing in it. This season, of all seasons, had some very basic, boring tasks that didn't really separate the teams. Now of course some of that is b/c the veterans do seem much better adept than first timers but much of this race was won/lost on the road as opposed to at the tasks.

I guess the thinking with this finale was to try and create a dramatic ending especially since most endings are seemingly decided by the last commercial. But I think it's much fairer to have those ridiculously long tasks to let them actually decide. Or at least have them drive instead of having your fate in a taxi drivers hand.

Never before have I been so proud of an asian woman driver.
:goodposting:

She looked like she would rather be sitting on a toilet than in a driver's seat.

Karma for the Brenchels and the nicest team won. The blondes should have been out about 3 months ago.

I surfed to Amazing Race's Wiki and it has a link to both of their Facebook pages.Bopper's posts are current and he's posting about Mark running for County office. Bopper's FB
Marks FB post on April 8th. Hope he wins!! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mark-Jackson-For-County-Judge/414481772018341

Hello, I would like to tell people my plans to better our county. If I win the first thing I'm going to do is hire a grant writer instead of a PR (public relation person to speak for me) to get the grants we are eligible for. We are the 8th poorest county in the United States and the number 1 unhealthy county in the United States. So you can't tell me we can't get help, we just have to go get it. ...I would like to help the city get the pool fixed and work together to get a recreation and child development center so that we can start working on getting healthy and the kids will have something to do besides meanness. I would like to start a second chance program to give people that made mistakes in their life another chance. We look down on people because they got in trouble are on drugs. Maybe if we give them a second chance it could change their life around. If we can help one person change it is worth it. I have so many ideals for the elk hill project to boost tourism and bring jobs. I'll have my physical court meetings in the evening where the people of the county can come and voice their opinion and ideals that will help the county. I would make the budget public for the county to see what we spend our tax payers money on. Like the Crawdad building was built with tax payers money but can't use the parking lot to watch our kids play ball and keep them safe from walking on that road. Its for the people to use too, and the people that rent it wouldn't care if we wasn't charging them so much. It's going to take everybody working together to make a difference. By having the meetings around 7 or 8 the magistrates and i will be held accountable for what's going on in their district and our county. I would like to work with the school board to start programs that educate the parents about drugs and the affect they have on people so that the parent will see the signs before it gets to bad. I would like to get grants so that no kid should have to pay to play any sports around here, because a lot of kids miss out because they can't afford it. I would like to help the school board improve our sports facilities. The roads seem to be a big issue, has your county judge I'll get out and find and fix the roads with a permanent fix instead of just putting gravel down. It may cost a little more but would pay for their selves over time, because you want have to keep waisting gravels, every time a hard rain comes it washes the gravels away. It's 2014 all county roads should be black top, they will be easier to maintain during the winter. But I forgot they don't waist money because they don't fix them but every four years (Election time). To get jobs in here we have to go find jobs and we have to give them a incentive to bring jobs here. I know if I become your county judge I'll be a loud voice in Frankfort and Washington. I'm known all over the world now and I think people would open up to us and help. I'm not nobody special but I'd use it to get us help. I know I can make a difference because the kids around here look up to me and I think they would listen to me, because I look up to them because they are the future leaders of this county and that's why we have to give them a chance. I know we need a lot of help here and I'll be the guy that will work for the people. Like I said I don't have a lot of signs up or adds in the paper. I'm going door to door talking to people asking them if they got any questions for me. I know I can make a difference, but it will take everybody to get out and vote to help me make a difference. Thanks for your time
